hello all,

I've been sitting quiet on the sidelines for a long time now, mainly because i have nothing new to add. Thus process is painfully slow!!.

But, I have a quick question. I want to submit my Right to Permanent Residence Fee (they did not ask for it or anything, i just want to do as much as possible, so the next step (hopefully) will just be passport request). I was just planning on putting the money order in an envelope and a cover letter with my file number. Has anyone of submitted the RPRF while the application was in process (ie: not with initial application, and not when they ask)? If yes, what did you do?

Hello match,

I believe, this should be any issue. even i got my draft made yesterday and will be sending it out tomorrow with a cover letter.
The RPRF can be sent anytime and we can hope that it will shorten sometime towards the end ;)

Regards,
Gaurav Yaksh

Yeah, I think so! as I have written earlier on, a lawyer who is taking charge of my application. The last message that i received from my representative is that i m in the waiting list to pass the interview in Buffalo office.

Is there anyone who could tell me who long does it normally take to pass the interview? A month has gone so far!
Hello hope_

Could you share when you did medical tests? Also,if you're able to access ecas with your file# B123456789, what is the date they started processing your application?

I thought CP would be closed on July 1, Canada Day. You better check before going anywhere 2morrow........ but I was certainly happy to get my CAIPS notes in the mail the other day.

Yeah we all managed dealing with frustrations, and who knows what, over the first 6 months of this yr. Now, if Buffalo doesn't start sending those ppr in July, I will lose my patience and send off a nasty reminder to those Consul Agents: reminding them we paid for a service, like Nkusi said. I might even contact my MP to try sending fire on their %$É@!%z

Thanks Gaurav and help101. I really hope it is okay to send it in without them asking, because i just sent it this morning before i saw help101's message.

I saw this on their website, so i thought it was safe to send :

"The fees for applications in some economic classes (Quebec Selected, Canadian Experience Class, Provincial Nominees) are payable when the application is submitted.

Applications submitted in these classes without the correct fees will be returned to the applicant.

The Right of Permanent Residence Fee in these classes may be paid at the time of application or at any time during processing."

help101, I'm guessing what you saw is specific to the federal skilled worker program.

Actually, this note is strictly for FSW applicants. FSW has also 2 steps like us sending to micc, then buffalo. They send to Sydney forms, lang test and pay $550 fee. Then once everything is checked by Sydney office they receive the ok to submit application to a Visa Office. The Visa Office is often decided by Sydney after contacting VO to make sure they aren't swamped of applications.... So, since sydney decides where FSW sends application, the applican cannot send rprf before being asked to submit the documentation to VO.

match and others you can send your $490 whenever you want upon holding your File#. If they deny you they will need tto refund the money in US funds and so to reduce their work to the maximum, they would prefer not to deal with refunds :)

The Right of Permanent Residence Fee in these classes may be paid at the time of application or at any time during processing.
The Right of Permanent Residence Fee must be paid before the Visa is issued.

I sent mine ($1040) at once via Bank Draft to save on paying BD fee twice

thanks @ match and @ ae03yy. it all makes sense to me now...

Quick question: since my BD has been en-cashed and i haven't received any AOR until today, do u think it is safe for me to send my RPRF now? or Should I wait till they send me the AOR?

if i were to send it now, do u know at which specific address/location in Buffalo office should i be submitting the RPRF fee?

hi help101

You can send it to same address you sent your application. However, note it won't a difference now since they didn't start processing your file yet. To know they begin processing a file we need to wait till File# is activated. Receiving AOR is the normal way VO inform you it is activated. You can also keep checking on ecas from time to time and when they'll say we started processing your file on xx. I would not personally bother sending that fee till I get File# and yet even then I'd prefer to get AOR and ecas active too.

Since it doesn't make a difference now, why bother? You might need that money in the meantime too... so in my sens unless you send rprf fee at once when sending application to Buffalo, I'll recommend you wait at least till File is active or at most when they ask you, depending on your finance of course.

Don't worry folks : you will get AOR and Med no matter what and you will receive PPR... even though we worry so why worry!?

HAPPY CANADA DAY TO ALL PR HOLDERS, AND ALL WP HOLDERS, AND ALL STUDENTS, AND OF COURSE ALL VISITORS.

What do u plan on doing 2day? I'm going to see the prince and his wife 2day :)

@ all,

It may be a good idea to plan ahead so you don't get disqualified at the last minute. All the best in your planning, processing, and waiting time.

...Does anyone knows if we have to report to Buff if we change job title, like you being promoted to higher position? Can't find the answer in the guide or OP!
I called CIC yesterday and they said I don't have to. As long as I qualify for immigration i should be all good. Thought of adding this in case anyone needs this info too...

Here is our timeline update. Please check your input and provide an answer to my ??. I'd appreciate that!
Thank you for sharing your info! I believe that will help others...

Sorry if I missed yours, it wasn't intentional. Try to post it according to the model by filling where applicable:
