Guys the average Buffalo processing time for Quebec selected applicant is now 14 months.
wow, that's ridiculous knowing we already went over many months to get CSQ and they only have the Med'l and police check to do.
:(

14 months? huh..
I guess Quebec applications have been pushed back, especially for those who applied in Canada.
CEC and PNP seem to proceed faster than our cases.

This is my 29th week since submitting to Buffalo.
Has anyone done med exam without formal request?
My lawyer advised not to take med without a file number, but all of my friends insist to do it in advance.
What my lawyer said was med result without file number often got lost, so no need to take risk.
But since I'm in a big hurry, I'm willing to take a risk. (For personal reasons, I have to get PR until the end of August)

How do you think?
Are you guys planning to take med after receiving AOR?

what medical conditions will disqualify you? i am applying for me and my spouse. me okay, spouse may have issues.

It took us approximately one hour and a half to complete the medicals. They checked our weight, height, vision. They also took urine samples. For the blood draw they will use the smallest needle if you ask them to. They only need a small amount of your blood to test anyway. And it only takes like 20 seconds may be. The doctor asked us some questions about our medical history (they are all listed on a form that CIC sends directly to a doctor) and done a routine examination (listened to lungs and heart, checked the abdomen, etc.). She was very thorough, though. We signed the forms attesting that we answered the question to the best of our knowledge. The last part, which we had to drive to another place for, was the chest x-ray. We only spent there about ten minutes, they were really quick and efficient, no people in the waiting area also helped. An hour and a half altogether and we were on our way home. Now waiting for the tracking number for our package. Hope this helps.

Hello , everybody . First of all , thanks for sharing all this info.

I sent to Buffalo a certified cheque issued by "Desjardins" bank , along with my complete application file on October 20th , 2010.
After a month I went to ask if Buffalo had got the money , but I was told that it was not possible to know if they cashed the check.
Up to now , I am in total darkness regarding the status of my application .

Did anyone else use "Desjardins" cheque ? How did you proceed to know whether it was cashed ?

Peace on us all

Nkusi.

Hi, did you go to the bank?
I know a friend of mine sent money order from BMO and BMO can't (or didn't want to) check whether it's cashed.
In this situation, you can order ask for your CAIPS.

Hi every body,

Finally, I got AOR+Medicals this morning :)

I send my documents to Buffalo on August 26. I will do medicals Monday afternoon.

Hope every thing goes well.

Yes , I checked twice with my bank . I always got the same answer:" we cannot tell whether the cheque was cashed".
What is CAIPS & how does it help ? I tried to check on their website, but I did not get it well . Can they help me get information about my file ?
and what are their prices ?

How did you guys know that your cheques were cashed ???

@Hadal,
congratulations & wish you all the best !

I think he got AOR+med at the end of December if I remember correctly.

If so, his case is extremely fast :o
