Hi everybody,

I was going through my GCMS again, and I saw the following:

Under the section Paper file history,

Paper file history 1
Created date: 2012/06/09
Created by: ****** (id of officer)
updated date: 2012/06/09

Do you think this was the date they transferred my file to ottawa? or is it something else? I am going through my GCMS for the tiniest of clues to understand what is going on with my application.....

My due date on GCMS is 10th November 2012 (I got my AOR+medicals on 10 Nov 2011). Hopefully they will do something...

Hi Biochem

I have the same thing on the paper history

Paper file history 1
Created date: 2012/06/09
Created by: ****** (id of officer)
updated date: 2012/06/09
office: buffalo
location: B92

Paper file history 2
Created date: 2012/12/08
Created by: ****** (id of officer)
updated date: 2012/12/08
office: buffalo
location: B screening

My due date is November 1st.... i dont think it would do anything coz lots of people have passed their due date and nothing yet.
It is just 1 year after AOR...

But lets hope something happens for us in november

When were your notes printed off? To file the transfer date, go under Paper File history and see the date where the office is Ottawa. Thats the date where your file got received at Ottawa. The due date is just 1 year from AOR was issued and hopefully your file will get finalised by that date

Thanks Shaaruu :)

I wish you the very best as well.

PLEASE HELP!!!

I received AOR and MEDICAL REQUEST by e-mail on July 27, 2012. The doctor swore he sent the medical records about August 5, 2012. My e-cas status is still not updated to MEDICALS RECEIVED.

I e-mail the pilot Ottawa program at least 3 times, but no answer. They said in the AOR e-mail that if I don't send them Medicals before 60 days it will cause additional delays and issues. How can I know for sure whether they received it or not? I tried calling the 888 number but I guess it's from Canada only and I'm in the US (says unreachable or something like that).

If anybody has any idea PLEASE SHARE!!!

Hi Brebu,

Dont panic, it will take anything between 2 weeks to 3 months for status to change to Medicals received. So dont worry!

To track your medical file, ask you DMP the tracking number.

He asked $100 extra for tracking, so I didn't get it. Would the GCSM (or whatever they're called) notes help?

Hi Brebu

Yes GCMS notes will tell you if they have received your medicals or not and/or if you have passed the medical eligibility or not. But for the GCMS notes to be of any help, you need to wait for atleast 2-3 months ( wait until oct 2012 to file your GCMS notes) and hopefully by then they would have received it and can subsequently state it in your gcms notes.

Thanks mcgil,

Can you tell me how to obtain the GCMS notes?

mcgill,
thanks again. it seems I didn't know exactly how to check the status. I had to click under Application Received, and now I see under it Medicals Received, so I'm feeling better about that.
Waiting game is now on!

Hi, I landed in Toronto no problem. I need to get a SIN. I dont want to wait till I get to Quebec to get a SIN. If I get a SIN in Toronto and later move to Quebec, will the fact that I got my SIN in Toronto be a problem at citizenship time or anytime in future. I need to get the SIN in Toronto because I have a 1 year contract that has to expire before I move to Quebec.

Will this be a problem?

I does not matter where you get your SIN.

What sort of questions they asked you, while landing?
