Hi,

I would like to know if my situation (applying PR from US and then moving to Canada for studies) will create any delay in my process. Feel free to comment :) Thankss

Helo Gurus..

How long does it take to receive PPR after ECAS status changed to In process with the following comment added?

We started processing your application on XXXXXXX.

One of my friend received this status and I am trying to answer him...!!

hi guys, still waiting for ppr, my status still didn't change it says application received. any one has any clue on when we are supposed to see "in process" it's almost 15 months now since the initial application.

Biochemgal09 i think we have similar timeline, i wanted to ask u if it is possible to apply for student visa while waiting for ppr.

Hi HMIDATOU,

I have seen cases where people's status was still "Application received" or medical received", but got PPR. So dont worry too much.

About applying for student visa while waiting for PR, I would suggest that you search this forum, because I am not very sure about this topic. You will definitely find your answers in the canadian visa forum.

Thanks, biochemgal09 i really appreciate ur help, as u can see we are all in the same boat, frustrated and out of patience. i have no idea where my application is, i sent an email to ottawa but no reply so far. i think they should do a better job in communicating with applicants.
by the way, did u get a notice from buffalo that applications will be transferred to ottawa. i didn't get any notification from buffalo i just want to know if anyone got any notice from them.

I did not get any notice about transfer either. I think our files should be in Ottawa...hoping for the best :)

Hi everybody,

My doctor sent my medical results 2 weeks ago through regular mail from US. Should I be concerned my status still doesn't show Medicals Received?
I'm just worried because they said they should receive it within 60 days from AOR and it's already been 35 days...

I have never seen a QSW applicant getting a PPR from Ottawa at all. Please correct me if I'm wrong :-(

Are you guys sending emails to Ottawa to make sure they know we are still alive :-)

yes i did but no response from them. they are very lazy

in another forum (trackitt.com) somebody from italy filed his Fed.App. end of November 2011, got the meds beginning of April, and passport request this week, from ottawa, but needs to send them to detroit.

this person person files his app. 1 month after me, got his meds 1month before me, and passport request waaaayyyy before me. :)

i sent an email to ottawa last week to update my address, i just got an email today saying that it was updated but on my e-cas file it still shows the old address, but at least they are reading their emails.

yep the whole system is not possible to decode. so many factors that its all random.

are you from Germany? because I think European nationality definitely played a role in other persons swift processing

hi sudoku,

yes, i'm from germany....

whether it playes a role or not, we'll see that in the next 3 months. :)

Yes, it is all random... thats for sure,.....i'd call it "Lotto Max" here...

And some programs have serious advantages, The VO included. We have had a customer from France, for example. He applied for this special program from France, i think it only applies for the french.

Visa office was in Paris! i'm sure it plays a big role!

His timeline was: applied for CSQ: End of November 2011
received CSQ: end of January 2012 (!!!) unfortunately for him, he got caught in the possible xmas VO vacation.
(obviously :)) applied Feb 2012 Fed. Part in Paris, no RCMP Fingerprinting!
AOR via Email : April 2012, meds attached
received PPR : June 2012 !!!

How about that! I had to fix the shops' floor tiles, because my jaw just fell of that fast! lol

it sounds unbelievable, but it is a fact. he gave his notice 2 weeks later. lol
