We received your application for permanent residence on November 8, 2010.

We started processing your application on December 16, 2011.

Medical results have been received.

Thanks!

Hi everyone,

My timeline is as follows:

September 2010- send application to Quebec for certificate of selection
November 2010- received AOR from Quebec
December 2011- Received Certificate of Selection
February 8th 2012- CIC Nova Scotia received my application

Anyone living in the U.S. currently going through the same process? or gone through it recently? Please share your experience. When should I expect correspondance from NS? from Buffalo? Also, I sent my application without the FBI identification record as I haven't received it yet. If I do receive it before my file gets to Buffalo, should I wait until I have a case # to send it in? or is it ok to mail as soon as I have it?
This process is taking so much longer than I thought...it is very discouraging...please share your own experiences.

Thanks a bunch

Hi Sher_singh

One of the options is to go to the US-Canada border cross the border to US and comeback to Canada. So as soon as you enter the officer will process ur landing process. Preferably to be done in quebec not recommended to be done in ontario.

I wanted to ask when did u do the second police check that buffalo asked you for it? and was it done in Ontario or Quebec?

Thanks,

Hi guys,

I'm planning to land at the Toronto pearson airport in few weeks with supporting landing documents.

Does any of you know how long it usually takes for the landing process?

I have to take transfer flight to Montreal in 4 hours of time.

Would 4-hour be enough for landing?

Why are you "landing" in Toronto if your final destination is Montreal?

It's because I fly from Korea. I will be heading to Montreal through Toronto.

The landing process should be done in Toronto airport.

so it has been 15 months and one week now that I have sent my file to buffalo. Emailed them two months ago and they replied that the file is in process. Normal processing times is 14 months on their website.
Any suggestions ???

I didn't realize that the "landing" had to be done at the 1st port of entry. I just assumed that if you are a Quebec-selected applicant, Toronto immigration would not officially do your landing and let Quebec process you since it is your final destination anyways. Thanks for clarifying and good luck!

Thanks for your wishes. Though I'm selected by Quebec government, it is federal government that issues immigration visa. I think that's why I have to go through landing process at the first immigration gate that I will be stepping on.

Don't be discouraged. If Buffalo already told you that your file is in process, you should hear from them in few weeks, even in few days.

It took me 15 months to get PPR.

I sent my application to Buffalo in the second week of August 2010, and received PPR documents on November 21, 2011.

missing address for more than 2 weeks is sameone know what's going on ? my medicals have been received since jan 6 2012
