do u have a valid immig status and till when?
Yes, ur RPRF should now be paid to NY and u can pay anytime before they issue the visa.. as the QSW Guide stipulates.

Any news wcikkk ? did you email Buffalo already?
Yes my friend, my visa is valid till end of 2012. I am just wondering from timelines perspective as if they are transferring now then, it should take atleast 90 days before I can contact them again.

I will send RPRF atleast so that they don't have ask me again.

take care!!

Hi Friends...
i have very quick question for all of you, my file of quebec skilled worker is transferred to New York recently. Does anyone knows how long it generally takes to get the reply back from New York. Medicals are already done, i think i am at the last step of getting ePPR & RPRF request from New York

any guidance will be really appreciated !!!

sorry to know you dont feel good these days, but don't worry losing 2 weeks to do med test is not so much a big deal. Try looking at the positive side of life... cz I don't really think that will hinder your plans.

For NY, I think it should be 2-3 months. But I'll look into getting more info for you, movecanada, later. I'm swamp of things to do right now!

I landed yesterday at the Vermont border. Can't believe this is finally real :) When the immigration officer handed me back my documents and welcomed me to Canada, it made all the frustration and all the worrying so worth it! Hang in there to those still waiting, I promise you the end result makes up for all the pain along the way :)

No news for me. I emailed Buffalo last week, but as you can expect I got usual phrases saying that they can't tell when exactly my case will be finalized.
So far, it seems my file is still staying at Buffalo. I'm leaving Canada in two weeks, so I'd better get something before I leave.

Hi all,

I have a question regarding medicals. I applied for PR from the USA (For myself and spouse). I am right now in Montreal, doing my studies since 1st of November. Once I get medical request, can my husband and I do the medicals here in Montreal? Its easier for my husband to drive to Montreal from Boston, and I do not have a car here. Do let me know.

Thanks in advance guys :)

Did they inform you via email in return to your query or it was already from their side and when did it happen?

Hi friends,

quick query... i'm thinking of sending my passports from India to U.S with a friend. He will mail CIC buffalo passports from his address with a return envelope. Hope CIC will not have any trouble returning passports to his address ?

any suggestion will be much appreciated !
Gaurav...quick question, are you planning to travel to Buffalo for the visa....? do you know if you can get it on the same day ?

What is the next step, does your online status change and address disappear from online ? what does that mean ? what are the timelines if that happens ?

Cheers!!

You have the choice.

1) go to the border and do the flagpoling.
Note you, per say, do not need US visa

2) call CIC hotline and ask you want to book an apptm with Local CIC office.
Note they're all listed at, http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/offices/help.asp#qc

While many prefer to do it at the nearest Border, I booked an apptm... because they'e 5 mins from my appartment. Also, I don't have a car, don't drive yet, and my friends are all busy. My boss wanted to drive me at the Border but y'know it's my boss...lol!!!
