Oh oh, now you got me thinking... I applied from Brazil but I sent my application to the Sydney Office... Did I screw up? Is the Sydney office exclusive to inland applicants? I thought everybody was supposed to send their applications to Sydney no matter where they apply from and the office itself coordinates with the VO. Was I dead wrong?

You did right. That's where you are supposed to send your application.

I have already linked my application with my cic account. I checked the "status and messages"> "view submitted application" section and I don't see PDF there.

The status are below:
Application status We received your application. We will send you a message when there is an update or if we need more information from you.
Review of eligibility We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements.
Review of medical results You do not need a medical exam. We will send you a message if this changes.
Review of additional documents Not applicable.
Interview You do not need an interview. We will send you a message if this changes.
Background check We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.
Final decision Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.

I don't know what should I do now? Do you think calling them might be a good idea?

Different application, different (VO potentially) and different officer. Users with same AOR day do not result in any manner with same MR dates. If that happens it is only coincidence.

The only timeline that can be predicted is AOR date. After that, there are no predictions, only tentative estimates.

Is it true that for inland applicants, after doing the medical, we need to wait 6 months for PPR?

any one can send me recently CIC timelines - QSW VO Ottawa?thanks.

CPCO-Cost-recovery.CTDO-Recouvrement-frais @ cic.gc.ca."

You don't have to submit the eMedical receipt, but in case you wish too, here is the link
https://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/canada-case-cas-eng.aspx

this link can be used to upload any case specific documents.

That's what I don't get: how do you know the date of your file transfer? Does it show on your MyCIC ou ECAS? Cmack explained to me that it is not informed anywhere, but a great deal of applicants seem to know theirs. The last thing I have on my ECAS is the "we started processing your application on December 21 2016", and NADA on MyCIC except for the first line informing the link with my file and the date of reception.
