Received AOR on March 14th , unable to access ECAS yet . Any pointers ?
Should I contact CIC ? Or should I patiently wait ?

Did you try linking your application using GCKey?

Also just for sanity checking, you are using Application number / Case number as an identification type and filling it with your case file including the EP part. Are you filling the other three fields using the exact information as per your application (do you have a copy of it?).

It is frustrating I understand but at least you got GCKey and it offers much more information than ECAS.

Hi,
On Ecas you need to try to login following these steps:
On identification type: choose Application number/case number
And put the number that starts with EP
On surname/family name: put only your last name
Put the birthdate and place of birth.
It should work.
Hope it helps.
Good luck!

Tried all permutations and combinations , still unsuccessful in logging in to ECAS .
Does this mean a delay in starting to process my file ? Anyone else who has experienced a similar situation after having received the AOR ?

Hi 514orbust,

Good to hear that. I will surely be in touch with you.
Actually I also received my AOR on 2nd Feb 2017.
How do you know about transfer file ?
What's your file status right now ?
Did you receive official email for transfer?
Do you have any expected date for medical from any of your source ?

My file is showing 3 steps only.

Hello Chirag,

I'm very interested in your process and how things have been developing for you. With a few small variations, you and I have nearly identical timelines (please refer to QSW spreadsheet goo.gl/1ywC8a). I currently live in the Bahamas and have applied through lawyers working in Quebec.

HI Guys,

I heard that no matter how soon you receive MRs the overall processing time for all applicants is the same at the end. Please share your thoughts.

There is a sheet in my signature. If you see it for Ottawa VO the average time taken is 11 to 12 months or so

Based on my observation and my experience, the processing time of each application is dependent on the VO, the visa office and the application itself. The overall processing time is the average time all the application "till date" took. Some application can be done in 6 months and other in 18 months.

Hey Chiragdedania,

So sorry for just replying to you. I'll definitely be more diligent with checking this forum after this. ;D

(Spooky right?)

How do you know about transfer file ?
--My mistake, I'm pretty new to the forum and thought that when they first started processing your application it had meant File Transfer. ::)

What's your file status right now ?
-- I'm the same as you, buddy. Apologies again for dropping the ball on that one.

Did you receive official email for transfer?
-- Please see the reason why I made that Booboo above.

Do you have any expected date for medical from any of your source ?
-- Not at all. Shot my lawyers an email about a week ago and they're as clueless as me. They reassured me and said something along the lines of being patient, blah, blah, blah. lol. Slowly realizing that with enough research, I could've done as well with this process as they're currently doing.

Once again, let's keep in touch.

After MR,I paid upfront RPRF,CIC linked my payment to my account.

In my opinion you did not do any mistake. The file processing part is an indication that your file has been transferred esp. if you are an outland. However there have been cases of outland applicants and yet the file processing line is not available under their ECAS.

Guys,

Do i have to supress my access to ECAS by ticking that "supprimer mon accès Web" case in order to get updates through MyCiC or one has nothing to do with the other?

They are not related.
