I think the Passport Request have been slowed down.
I am an inland applicant under PEQ class. I have waited 6 months for the Passport Request after the Medical Exam and RPRF sent (around the end of May). Does the long delay mean there is a problem with my file? Should I be worried?

Here is my detailed timeline:
File submitted: September 2015
Additional docs requested: November 2015
AOR: January 2016
File started to be processed: March 2016
Medical, RPRF requested and sent: May 2016
Medical received by CIC: July 2016

What's your category po? Economic class quebec selected worker po ba kayo? Your timeline seem so fast.

Hello

I have applied for QSW on 29th Sep 2016 and was received on 3rd Oct 2016. I also have linked my app to my CIC acc online and I have XEP number.

My Question is Can I use XEP number to send PCC right now ? and what is procedure for sending it?

Thanks for your help.

Did you call CIC for same question? I am still waiting for my FBI PCC and once I get it I will send it to NS office with a cover letter stating my XEP # and UCI #.

No you can't and XEP file number is an indication that CIC received the file however processing did not start yet. Processing starts when you receive an AOR. This takes place around 90 working days from the date CIC receives your file (based on the latest trends).

Why you did not include the PCC as part of your application?

Thanks for the info.
I didn't had PCC at the time of applying for federal and at that time it seems that PCC will take at least month so as it was optional to send with application I decided to send it later.

No not yet. I am out on work right now. I will probably call them next week.
Is it safe to send original copies without confirmation of AOR number? I am scared that without AOR document will be lost and not attched tomy application. If that happens I have to do whole PCC process again. :-\

I'm inland applicant, also here since 2012 due to my husband phd studies... and yes Anxiety ***

We called CIC yesterday and the lady told us that ever thing was ok in the file, and we are supposed to receive news before December 30th, if not call us back ;s
I have a question, as an inland applicant, we are expected to receive a passport request and send the passports, or we just need to go to the port of entry to do the landing? or both? I'm confuse about the next step

My timeline
CSQ Dec 2015
Federal Dec 2015
AOR March 2016
Med Exam Jun 2016
RPRF July 2016
Visa waiting

Visa waiting

I did my meds in May. Waiting patiently with anxiety and restlessness.

As far as I know, you would need a visa issued on the passport beforehand in order to enter as a PR and validate your status at the port of entry.

Does that mean that we need to send the passports for a new visa? (and pay for it I guess)

We have valid visas but as Student, Worker and Visitor (My husband, me and my son)

Yes, patience :)

Yes you do. But I think the RPRF and processing fees cover the visa fee already
