I'm not sure if oath is Physical or Virtual.

We’re expecting a baby that same week, possibly even the same day .

So, we’ll need to move the Oath date by a couple of weeks at least and prefer a Virtual option.

When we can request the date change? Most threads mention after receiving the Invitation email but really appreciate if someone can confirm.

Or can I call directly to reschedule instead of waiting for the email?

I did a week ago. I had requested them to schedule my ceremony on Oct 7 with my spouse and son (they are on a different application) but all I received was a generic email that stated "rest assured we're processing your application... You can check your tracker for updates"

My LPP is still in progress and I applied on February 6. Last update was May 9th the BG and nothing since. I even called them last week to ask if there was anything I needed to do but the answer was "all good". I feel the same way, seeing everyone getting oath and my application stuck forever. I am checking my application every day and just so sad it never changes. I try to be patient but not to easy.

Keep patience nd hopes high …. I know its hard just mk habit of checking two times in day and keep yourself engaged in other things i know it is cery hard but we have to cope up…..

Well it looks legitimate overall, in that the email does appear to be an official one and you can find info on internet suggesting a person with that name works for govt (I'd suggest NOT clicking on the link or just replying but typing in the email, because there are ways to spoof that).

But to be extra careful, you can write to ask for department or whatever and call back through official switchboard to be connected. It can still be made to work with official time of contact.

If you do just decide to give the number for the person to call you back, be careful about not giving away anythign overly personal. An IRCC employee with access to your file may want/need to to check application number, UCI, basic contact details, etc. But don't give them anything you're not comfortable with.

At any point if you feel uncomfortable, tell them so, ask for requests in writing, and hang up.

[Spouse went through an elaborate banking scam yesterday - stopped before it went too far. They were very professional though. General advice is NEVER accept a call direct from a bank and give out any info - you should be able to call back through the bank phone #s you already know.]
