how long does it usually take to update Online Tracker? I passed my citizenship exam on 18th march, its not updated on tracker yet. Also, I saw a ghost update on 15 march but nothing updated.
I passed the test on the same day, 18th. No updates on Tracker.
November, December and January people took test between Feb and Mar, and some of them experienced 10-15 days while some others saw updates within a few days.

I mean like you said, it was only 2024 Tax, which they know it was not even the time for Tax filing. Are we getting interviews after our online citizenship test? I thought it's the test only and then oath. Any more suggestion ? Shall i file the Tax 2024 ?
They usually rely on the information sent in your application, there is no way they can assume something and they don't have time for that. File your taxes if you can and send a webform advising.

Hey Everyone,
Who did the test in the last two weeks, how was it? Was it difficult? Was there a major emphasis on dates? That's my main fear, all the dates they have in the book.

I have completed the test and scored 19/20. For me, I haven't got any dates. But I suggest going through dates too, because the questions are random to everyone. I have done a lot of practice tests from Toronto Public Library ,Richmond Library & some apps.

Can someone answer the following question:

1. For Proof of Language, I have obtained the letter from my University in Norway which indicates the instruction language was English and my study period for Master degree. Will this letter be accepted with my Master's degree for Proof of Language?

Thanks

Hey Everyone,
Who did the test in the last two weeks, how was it? Was it difficult? Was there a major emphasis on dates? That's my main fear, all the dates they have in the book.
Specifically on the issue of dates (I helped coach a few family members, one of whom has difficulty reading) - to the extent there are questions where dates are important/you have to choose between dates, the questions (and the multiple choice answers) are usually structured so that you are choosing between dates of quite different periods. Or put differently, if you understand what general period the question is about, you can eliminate the answers that are clearly from the wrong period. (Note although I grew up here, I'm notoriously bad at dates and can never remember any).

So for an example, a question might be about adoption of the charter of rights, and answers be 1867, 1932, 1967, and 1982. As long as you're aware what decade it was adopted, it's pretty easy.

It's quite rare, I think, that there's a question where it really is between time periods that are close. About the only one I can recall from practice tests that had a specific day/year connection was Canada Day.

So as overall advice: focus on remembering not specific years but general periods and making sure you know roughly what period. E.g. when did France give up French territory in Canada/conquest of Quebec city etc - before the American revolution, right? So from a list of dates, it's got to be before 1776/1789 or so (two dates of importance in the war of US independence), right? So 1760 or so. Therefore any date prior to 1700 is clearly wrong, any date after 1800 is clearly wrong.

And the answer is 1759 for the battle in which Quebec city was taken, the Battle of the Plains of Abraham, and 1763 for the treaty in which Britain gained most of France's territories in North America. But most of the time you won't need the specific year. If you just remember those territories were acquired not long before the US war of independence, you'll probably get it right.

So when you read the discovery booklet, try to remember the timeline and overall period / related events to group them, is my advice.

That said, everyone learns differently. Some people do better at memorizing dates.

Is the degree (paper) fully written in English too? So you didn't do any English test for PR?

Hello everyone,

I and my wife couldnt submit our first citizenship application which expired on March 17th. Now, we have created new accounts and started a fresh application (linked too). I noticed that the 60 days countdown isnt showing on mine and she confirmed same for hers too. We are still filling our applications out though. We have cleared cache, logged out and back in severally, but its still not showing. Will this be an issue? What do you advise we do?

Just a quick query-- Before starting the test, i asked my wife to take the picture while i was holding the ID with both hands (holding from top and bottom), is that acceptable? I mean instead of holding the ID with one hand and click the mouse from another hand, i asked my wife to take it for me.. Should i re-take the test. I am very upset. I just saw the link, it says i can take a help from my family member before starting the test. But still please suggest.
