no offense, but it is extremely common for an interviewing officer to refuse an applicant to their face- I have come across dozens of such cases.
if officer is in a friendly mood, they will not give any indication and will issue a refusal post interview.

No offense taken. I wasn't clear, I wasn't claiming they do not do this - I consider it an odd practice on IRCC officers' part because it introduces potential issues (in my view) from IRCC perspective.

Jurisprudence states clearly that an officer must write detailed reasons of his/her Refusal in the notes, otherwise when it comes to appeal ircc will be not in a position to defend this Refusal and the court will decide that is was not reasonable to refuse, or there wasn't followed a proper procedural fairness. They write these notes to be covered in further procedures. There could be a trick though, they might update the notes after issuing the Refusal, so at the moment there might not be any information. Either way, it is good for you to order them now, and after Refusal (if there will be one), you could compare.

The interviews are recorded on the camera, even if they announce "Refusal" in the interview, they do watch the interview again & again before issuing any Refusal
????? How do you know they watch the interview again and again? I really doubt those lazy clowns do amything more than the minimum required.

Yes, there have been cases of "fake" pre arrival letters.
After IO says Refusal at interview, DM can come up to 4 months later....depending on the Visa Officer want to taunt you or put you out of misery quickly (next day refusal letter comes on gckey).
Refusal at interview is never a mistake, but sending a pre arrival can be a mistake.
You are now in same position like me, waiting for negative DM. Issue now is appeal or reapply...or withdraw and reapply (they dont get satisfaction of refusing you)

No pre arrival letter is never a mistake.. it doesnt mean you are approved or not approved. my lawyer said they sent it out everyone that done the interview and some half way of the processing. it never was fake. and again doesnt mean it's approved or not approved. my husband have the interview 3 days ago on November 14/2023 and yesterday got an email of the pre arrival letter.
