I know my tl is kind of different from everyone else. Anyone knows how long prohibitions takes after background check it completed?

Ceremony is "in progress". Citizenship ceremony on April 19th!!!

It has been a very frustrating journey to say the least. Emailing, calling, and not getting any response, then asking for my notes on more than an occasion and waiting and waiting and waiting, and there is no one to answer any questions.....Seeing others having their progress much faster than yours; you are happy for them ofc, but concerned that your papers are stuck somewhere and you feel helpless. Believe me I know how some folks feel!

I am glad that my journey is closing to the end and I really hope yours end with good news very soon. Hang in there!

I am not sure tbh, my papers were at the Niagara office since AOR. My application was actually processed in an odd way, the did not do the background check until the end and they even rolled back my prohibitions from "completed" to "in progress" half way through my application! This made me concerned that it will take a long time. With background checks you cannot actually get any information, even the file notes are useless because the security section is always redacted.

Glad it did not take that long after all!

I received today my certificate: oath was on March 21st.
I walked in at a Service Canada location and submitted my passport application: waited in line for about 1h.

And all of them got invite for the oath end of April .

There is no pattern to be honest. Took the test in October 12th. All sections completed except citizenship ceremony on February 8th. Waiting for the citizenship ceremony invitation.

Checking on the Vancouver applicants! I submitted my application back in Jan 2021. My exam status has been completed on Feb 24.
Wondering how long will it take to get the ceremony oath date after?

Vancouver February applicant here. I have not even taken the test after 15 months My BG verification was completed 5 months ago. No update since then. With the new processing time (27 months), I’m pretty sure that in the best case scenario, I’ll not be a Canadian citizen before April 2023.

I received my invite about 2 weeks prior to oath. But some received it a week or a few days ahead of time.
