Congrats! I know you are cannot share a lot of details about the exam but I just wanted to know from your experience if learning EXACT dates and years is very important? I am a little rusty with those.
The test really isn't that hard. Took like 6 minutes lol

Lets just say that I spent a litte while memorising the timeline of events and I wish I had spent less time doing so ;)

Again, might be different for others

Hi everyone, can someone provide some clarification in terms of number of taxes that is required to have been filed as a PR.
Is it compulsory that I have 3 years tax filing before applying for citizenship even if I have met the 3 years residency requirement.
I get the impression that for every qualifying year, a PR must have filed taxes up to atleast 3 times before being eligible to apply for citizenship.
I arrived Canada in the first week of February 2019 as a PR, and I havent travelled since that time.
I will be 3 years in February 2022 which is a few months from now, I could not file tax for 2018 when I arrived, so I have only filed taxes for 2019 and 2020.
By the time I am eligible to apply for citizenship in February, it would be about 3 weeks before the tax seasons opens.
My question is : SHould I wait for 3 weeks after my qualifying for citizenship application before I apply to enable me file tax for 2021 ?
Or I should just apply as soon as the 3 years is complete with just 2 tax filing ?
Is it compulsory that I have 3 years tax filing before applying for citizenship even if I have met the 3 years residency requirement.
Thank you.

I was in this position for my application (arrived Jan 2018, applied Feb 2021) - I just explained this in my letter of explanation and so far have had no issues (filed tax returns for 2018 and 2019, since applying have filed for 2020). I'll let the thread know if anything crops up, but so far background check is complete and I have just passed the test

Most of the times it will get updated in 2-10 days. It took 4 days for me.

My AOR - Aug 9 - Online application. I saw some folks getting their background checks done along with test dates. My BCG is in progress ? How many of folks with my timeline have similar situation ?
