How can I ask for temporary file number ?

You can ask the operator to look for your file using your receipt number in system to see if they have started entering data into system for your file and it only happens if your file is considered complete.

My application was delivered on Feb 14 and I didn't receive any AOR yet, any one around this timeline waiting for AOR.

Delivered Feb 18. Nothing yet.

1. Its coming. Due to pandemic its chaos now hence they are not going by sequence which is making us frustrated when we see the later applicants getting AOR. Possibly another few days wait.

3. Good that you decided to end the frustration in a year without adding more years to the decade.

Thanks for your humour. I cannot go to a better salaried job in US because of my Canadian citizenship pending. Lots of career opportunities wasted. I actually applied as soon as I qualified for citizenship so I Moved to end the frustration the moment I can but still didn’t expect or beat the pandemic!!

I called and the agent didn't ask me my UCI number nothing I gave her my receipt number and she told me there is nothing in the system the file is not open yet she said what if I mail the same application with letter of explanation just to have a piece of mind that would be better?

What receipt number? You mean the payment receipt number? You should have given uci number to search rather than the payment receipt number.
My application doesnt show online status if i use payment receipt number.

See I sent my application from Windsor so will they send my application back to Windsor or will they send it to my old address in Saskatchewan ? That's the question because you said earlier they haven't updated your address on ecas so I am a bit wirried.

Did you move to different address after applying for citizenship and yet to get AOR and worried about application being returned to old address?
If so then cant say for sure but there is a chance to mess it up as their system shows the old mailing address for few people.

Next time when you call, give them the uci number rather than the payment receipt number to see if they can find your file in system.

If you did not get anything till now then your file should be ok as i think that they moved to march applications for reviewing. It looks like they review appilcations few weeks before AOR. Yes as you said, you can wait for few more days.

Few people in this forum reported that they have left it empty and received AOR, and few other people used black pen to tick the check box after printout (just in case) and they also received AOR. So based on this observation, it seems IRCC agent doesn't care of those check boxes, based on earlier 'use of representative' question NO answer.

So presume than if the next question is just left blank, it does not matter, all should be ok?

Could someone confirm please that they received AOR with a check mark at "no" for the question "Is someone helping out to fill out this form?" and leaving unanswered( blank) the other part of this question (as the rest of the filed vanishes after you respond "no " to the first part. I would very appreciate that!

I marked as No and left the fields empty. No issues in receiving AOR.
