February 2020 - Citizenship Applicants

Hello everyone
Happy to share that my status had changed to Oath in progress.
Neither my husband or I already received the email.
There are more details about it a part it’s scheduled to April 28th
We had applied feb 2020 and our tests were done mar 2021
We’re a family of 3 in Montreal
Happy to know it’s almost finishing
Now, just waiting to get the email.

Question about status of minor application.

Me and my wife took tests around mid 2021 and our status changed to Decision Made in ECAS on Dec 17th, 2021. All except oath are shown as Complete in the tracker. But for our minor son, the ECAS still shows In Progress and tracker shows everything except Prohibitions as In Progress. There is no change of status after Dec 2021.

Is this normal? Can we expect oath invite for adults, when the status of minor's application is still showing In Progress. Anyone else had this same experience, could you please confirm.

We had the same situation. My daughter last update was just right after our test. Our status was update last week for the Oath in Progress for April 28th (not received email yet) and our daughter has the same update now, even it says about the ceremony schedule for the 28th. Everything is still "in Progress" except for Prohibitions as "Completed". Citizenship Test "Not started" (since it's not applicable). Which means, everything keeps as In progress for the minor even with the Oath invitation

Yes, this is normal. Minor's application status remains as In Progress even at the time of oath.

02Feb2022 client status enquiry response came today. They say that application is still in progress and they mentioned about on going virus etc etc. Seems that they really not checking the file at all even for courtesy before responding. They dont need to even reach officer but they can at least check the status and respond but seems they are not simply doing it.

01Nov2021 gcms request's response came today with file generated on 12Dec2021.

Both depts have become useless for clients which dont solve any purpose. Seems that these depts follow their parent dept cic in their process.

Yes they are reverifying background check again. Its only valid for year hence they will recheck and update it.

So I did my fingerprint last year on April. I can see on my GCMS notes that it will be expired on 26/04/2022. Can I go to any RCMP accredited agency and do my fingerprint again without a letter from IRCC . I am planning to travel next week that why I want do that !! Any advice

I heard that few could get the fingerprints done without cic requesting it. Open a thread and get that method/way.
Surely they will ask for fingerprints in the next few weeks/months till DM/oath.

9 months till now no DM and only citizenship test and PG had been completed so far any idea what is the next.
If you think to tell me go see you MP I tried they didn't help me out.

Email the processing office requesting to finalize the application. Dont demand - just request. Sometimes we get lucky. Some get it done this way.
I sent first email in Feb but no effect. Sent second one and it worked.
