Happy new year everyone! If COPR and medical is expiring in Jan'21, should we expect IRCC to extend the Medical expiry date? Should we contact them? We do not meet the exemption criteria to travel as COPR was issued after 18th Mar'20 nor do we have close family in Canada.

hello @legalfalcon,
Happy new year to you. recently, i was asked for PCC of a country where i moved to work last year. what do you think it indicates? pls advice

Same happened to me back in May. When did they ask for that? What's your AOR?

AOR 22nd Feb 2020. They asked me end of Nov and i submitted it 1st week of Dec. Was there any progress after you submitted the PCC, or you are also the victim of silence.

Happy New Year to you as well!!

IRCC can ask for any PCC or document, which is at the discretion of the visa officer. Most likely your BGC must be under process.

2 days back, I turned 36 and my AOR is 22nd Feb 2020. Do you think, that due to loosing 5 points for age, IRCC could consider not to grant the PR once application reaches to the final stage? Just FYI, im PNP based applicant and nominated by alberta.. Current score after 5 points deduction :1027

All your details are freezed once you have submitted your application and hence your age factor will not have any impact.

No. You'll not be loosing point for age because your points are locked in when you applied. Same goes for your English and/or French test.

Hi Everyone, I have a question. My AOR is 27 feb 2020. My country of residence is US and Nationality is India. I was on a call with an IRCC agent and he mentioned that my application is sent from Sydney office to Ottawa local office because the officer could not verify if i meet the eligibility for FSW program. The application is in the queue with the Ottawa local office for another officer to look at the application. What does this mean and should i be worried or prepared for anything? Thank you in advance for your response.

What was the status of the application before it was transferred

Only my biometrics and medical was cleared. Eligibility was under review in Sydney. The IRCC agent said that a secondary review was required to clear the eligibility and therefore they transferred the application to Ottawa. I have ordered GCMS noted on Dec 6th. I should get it soon.

Thats a smart move ordering the GCMS. Thats only how you will know why the review and be able to tackle it. I wish you the best

When you submit the application, it is locked and any changed post submission do not matter.

For age, if it changes after ITA also, then too you are exempt as per the public policy.
