Just got webform reply:

You will find below useful information that we hope will help understand the process and current status of your application for permanent residence:

· The eligibility review is met.

· The security background verification is currently valid.

· The criminal background verification is in process.

Furthermore, we verified the information you provided and can confirm that your file is currently located at the Case Processing Centre - Ottawa, Ontario.

i know why my criminal verification is under process as I cannot provide the PCC certificate from South Korea as their government stated it is illegal to provide it to foreigners for any purpose..(LOE provided)

Do i still have the chances of being rejected?
I don't think so.

If you were going to be refused, you would have been refused by now I think.

Have you checked the forum for anyone who was able to get a PCC from SK? Or anyone who is currently in your situation?

Hi Mike,

Thank you for your reply. I searched on our forum and got the following results:

1. a few years ago, people could get the certificate (maybe before/around 2018); Now it is impossible to get it as the law has been strengthened I believe.

2. Many people got rejected after a month or 2; most of them didn’t include LOE

3. Some people got PR with LOE

4.Some people who got rejected explaining the situation via webform and got the case reopened and approved

The end of June I was told my criminal check is PENDING due to SK PCC certificate...

I order GCMS notes almost 3 weeks ago but haven’t received it yet. I just want to know what they are doing with my case now. I don’t want it to be hung in there without any further actions being taken....

Yes have given biometrics in march, it's updated in the portal also.
I have submitted all the documents. Do you think I should request GCMS notes ?

My AOR is 3rd March, Medical 10th March, Bio-Metric 12th March.
I got an updated IMM5406 request yesterday.

Have not raised a Web Form or GCMC notes.
Progress bar ends on 3rd September.

Have you received any document request ?

From my understanding of your searches, you seem to be in a good position.

Let's see what your notes will says.

Good day @legalfalcon and the other more knowledgeable members,

A friend and I we both have February 6th AOR. According to MY GCMS notes my eligibility has been met almost 5 months ago. I’m assuming it’s similar for my friend.

Today he received a letter from IRCC requesting to update the passport information for one of his children because it will be expiring soon. Now my question is, was this new development the result of an officer accessing his file or it’s still at the assistant level?

Kind regards

Congrats on your status. You should be less anxious now :) Ideally chances of rejection is very very slim. Wish you get your COPR soon.
How many days it took for you to get the webform response

If your AoR is February 2020, then your eligibility cannot be passed 5 months ago. I am not sure if you re calculating things correctly or I am reading them wrong.

Also, each application is processed on its own merit. No two applications can be the same. The passport is usually requested during final review, when the application is about to be approved.

hello, I assume "met" in your case could be recommended pass. If so, 5 months being in this state is the case for me too, I guess it's quite common right now for outlanders. As for your question of "officer or still analyst level", maybe only the notes will tell.

What I meant is that my application’s eligibility was passed by the case analyst. It hasn’t been reviewed by an officer yet. But in the case of my friend who is AOR February 6th too, he just received a request from IRCC to submit a new passport for his kid. I wanted to know if that request was coming from an analyst or an officer being, that 6 months hasn’t already passed.

Yes passed by an analyst. As for my friend’s application with the passport request, he doesn’t want to order notes.

Hey all, I submitted my PR application on Feb 11th. Couldn't give biometrics yet. I called CIC today to ask about the progress and they informed that, I passed eligibility, my criminal verification is in progress and security verification hasn't started yet. Can someone tell me what is a criminal check and a security check? And is the progress of my file slower than usual? (the progress bar is at 100%, although I'm aware this is based on average ETA)

CEC, from within Canada,
Med passed on 12th March

Thanks
