Good day, we received request to submit new medicals (this will be our 3rd set of medicals). The instruction letter states we must submit our new medicals within 30days or our PR application can be refused.

I am currently 26weeks pregnant (baby is due end of March 2022).
What do i do? Do we go for new medicals (i know one can get the xray done in the 3rd trimester, alternatively you get the x-ray done with a shield covering baby, alternatively the x-ray gets deferred until after baby's birth).
What happens if we get copr before baby is born but after it is safe to fly? Do they cancel the copr and have to reissue once baby is added?
Do i ask to defer all our medicals until baby is born?
At first i thought it would be best to send a webform and request that we be permitted to postpone the medicals until after the baby is born so that all our medicals are valid for the same period.
I know however that one usually doesnt receive a response after sending a webform and my husband is worried that should we opt to ask for a postponement and they for some reason dont receive or log our request, that they will refuse our application.
Should we rather just go for the medicals within the prescribed 30days and simply update IRCC once baby is born? Is that the safest? I feel like this is the safest route.

Have you requested GCMS notes? What all stages are passed?
Requested through GETGCMS in Sept 2021 and have not received them till date, the reason for the delay is not mentioned, and no definite time as to when I can receive them.
Another request put in the start of Dec 2021, awaiting for them.
I got to know about all assessment pass by calling the CIC helpline a few days back as the agent confirmed back.
Pls, advise what shall I do and whom to communicate with? As the RVF is in the queue with NDVO for the past 5 months. @legalfalcon

Do i ask to defer all our medicals until baby is born? - You can ask for postponement or even get the exams done. Some part of your exam will be postponed till after birth of your child.
At first i thought it would be best to send a webform and request that we be permitted to postpone the medicals until after the baby is born so that all our medicals are valid for the same period. - I am not sure you can proactively ask them to postpone medicals.
I know however that one usually doesnt receive a response after sending a webform and my husband is worried that should we opt to ask for a postponement and they for some reason dont receive or log our request, that they will refuse our application. - Application will not be refused for such requests, you need not worry.
Should we rather just go for the medicals within the prescribed 30days and simply update IRCC once baby is born? Is that the safest? I feel like this is the safest route. - There is no point in informing IRCC before the birth of your child. As your family composition after the birth of your child, you will need to inform them only.
@Springbokkie Please check my responses.

It seems like they stopped giving notes since September to majority of us.

Unfortunately, GCMS notes requested through IRCC are unpredictable. There are rampant delays, with most requests being released within 30-60 days, but some take way longer.

Instead, you should consider requesting your GCMS notes from CBSA. see https://bit.ly/32an34Z

As regards your application, had your security passed?

@legalfalcon when does IRCC start security and mark it passed? On my GCMS notes I see under Assessments - Final is mentioned as Approved but next to Security it is Blank. Although I received a recent remed and my file was also updated by IRCC, I haven't received the PPR. I am now wondering if this has to do with Security being Blank. Please can you let me know. Thank you in advance.

When you request GCMS notes from IRCC, all security-related information is redacted and that is why you see it as blank. On the same page at the top right corner, you will see s16(2), this is the corresponding section of the Access to Information Act under which the information has been redacted.

IF you see approved next to Final, then your application is approved an you need not worry.

Thank you so much. Any idea what might be holding back a PPR @legalfalcon if not for security or remed? Im a single applicant too with no dependants. And so many with COR as India are receiving their PPRs. Sorry I know its case specific but really worrisome.

Thank you for your response. The agent confirmed on the phone that everything is passed and it transferred to NDVO for RVF in the past 5 months.
Nothing received to date. Could you please advise what shall I do in this case? @legalfalcon

There is nothing for you to do. You just have to wait.

It is taking longer than ever for applications to be processed with a backlog of 1.8 million applications.

Don't worry mate. Worrying will only lead to misery. We are all sailing in the same boat and you're not alone. My self and many others passed our re meds on 23rd november and are still waiting for the beloved PPR.
