How many days did it take to receive GCMS?Hello Everyone,
I have received the GCMS notes today and below is the status:
Eligibility: Recommend Passed
Security: Not started
Criminality: Passed
Idid go through the Notes section at the bottom and noticed my eligibility was recommended passed on March 11( Feb 11 is my AOR). I'm confused and a bit worried as my case has not been touched for 6 months since it was recommended passed by a case analyst in march. Kindly advice what could be the reason. @legalfalcon
Thanks for the update. Can't find anything related to covidIn most cases many applications are just on hold. See if you have COVID pace under activities in the middle of the GCMS notes.
Also, the average time for application processing is now 9 months. This is just an administrative delay.

Hi @legalfalconOnly after the eligibility is passed, the security starts, and it takes 1-5 weeks for the security to be passed.
Have you given your biometrics?
Most likely your eligibility is passed or recommended passed.Hi @legalfalcon
I had raised a webform and the reply says below :
Does that mean eligibility is passed?
- The responsible office has verified if your application meets the eligibility requirements under the immigration program for which you have applied.
- The security background verification has not been initiated.
- The criminal background verification is currently valid.

@legalfalconIf you answer yes to any stat Question on Criminality, you will have a RR, because depending on the country of residence and where your crime tool place, it will have to be vetted by IRCC division to make sure that it was not a serious criminality as per the Canadian criminal Code to make your inadmissible.
Only after getting a clearance will the application move ahead. Also, currently many applications are stuck just due to administrative delays.
Any updates?Nerve breaking tension right.. we have to wait.. same response from IRCC when I called. Lets wait and hope the best will happen
Hi @legalfalcon ,Then there is no reason for the criminality to be in progress unless there are some issues with it. Criminality only remains in progress when you have a criminal record a prior conviction, charge etc. or when there is an outstanding document, such as PCC or biometrics.
You can send a webform and ask.
If you are in Canada, have you submitted RCMP PCC?Hi @legalfalcon ,
It is the same case with me . I saw my biometrics received Mar 10, RCMP Screen- NRT, Biographic USA- NRT, I dont have any travel history except Study permit to canada, Valid PCC-accepted by program assistant. Its all shown in my GCMS. I dont know why criminality is still in progress and security not started. What do you think might be the case. My eligiblity is passed by analyst.
RCMP is only to be submitted if requested? That's what I have heard? If you are in Canada, have you submitted RCMP PCC?
If not, then you will be asked for it at a later date, and that is why your criminality will continue to show in progress.
