Oh my, scaring me too.,, I am November applicant... I read many cases of people from Pakistan who are way beyond 12 months... but I am hopeful to be done by December...
Well seems like they don't care much about applications sent to vo's ... their rate of 80% is obtained by all those indians apps sent to missisauga super fast so... why changing their way. So yes prepare for an over 12.

That sucks, my partner is European so hopefully it's somehow quicker than other London VO applicants.... I guess I'll have to try extend her visitor visa beyond 6 months if possible

Yes, your official receipt for fees paid. Enter that number in imm5401 option to see your app details. Mine starts with an Rxxxxxxxxx(followed by 9 numbers). It is located beneath the barcode on the official receipt.

If the system can't find you with this, it would seem they don't have, or haven't dealt with your app yet.

40 days isn't a crazy delay but it's a bit longer than most. I would certainly expect you to hear from them this week with an AOR email. FYI, it took 29 days to get our AOR

Hello There, please advise....
I am being sponsored by my husband who is a Canadian citizen and he hired an immigration lawyer to get this work done.
On 19th July our application was submitted (posted via mail to Embassy in Delhi). Because PR takes time, my husband wanted to apply for the visitor visa so I could go meet him in Canada while the PR is getting processed...his Lawyer said this can be done but we have to wait till we get the application/file#...meaning visitor visa can be applied only after the file/application# is received...my question here is, how long does it take to get the application#?, Is the application/file# the same as AOR? Also where do I get the Rxxxxxxxxx- coz remember mine was posted via email by the lawyer - m not certain of how the payment was made though?
Any help in this matter will be much appreciated....:)

Yeah they are, still if you look on the other side of the medal, you see that is not logic that we are here, waiting 12 months cause of slow vo's and those passes in 4,5 and sometimes 3 tho.
