FEBRUARY 2019 *OUTLAND* SPOUSAL SPONSORSHIP

Hi all please I need some advice on what to do
I’m the principal applicant living outside Canada we have our application completed and good to go,my wife has sent off our application today 5th of July ,out of curiosity I went on the cic website to check and I found out the generic application form which was updated from 2-2019 to 6-2019 has also been updated to 7-2019 and I went through The form there’s no change in questions or whatsoever and this particular form recent update came in 6-2019 and then boom another came 7-2019 My concern now is will our application be returned is there a grace period in accepting outdated forms?, we all know the stress of getting this documents ready and having to send to to our spouse in Canada.please any advice on what to do and if there’s need to worry ? Thanks

I have been waiting for transfer since SA in March 18 !! It’s been it’s been 3 and half month .no transfer yet

Hi everyone,

I have received an email from CIC Mississauga that says ***FINAL REQUEST*** Highlighted on the top of the letter.


In order for us to continue the processing of your application, we require the following documents:

> Our records indicate that additional proof of identity must be submitted, such as copies of documents from this list (originals may be requested for verification):

• Baptismal certificate,

• Hospital/medical birth record,

• Permanent elementary and high school records,

• Old passports,


I’m confused about the permanent school record they need. Is it the diploma or something else? Thank you in advance who could response me.

If the change happened after you sent your application or if it happened within a month after you used the last version of the form, you do not need to worry. They’ll accept it. Its ideal to always check last minute if you are sending the latest versions but there is a grace period so rest easy

I am on same boat with no file transfer, Feb7 applicant. If u dont mind sharing any updates/news to help all of us not to loose patience and hope.. Thanks.

Would share but there's nothing to add up... the waiting game continue all i know some ppl of dec 2018 are still waiting a transfer to mexico which is my VO .. so i guess my turn gonna be in 2 months around *sigh*

Feb applicants are still in waiting line for file transfer...

Hope it's gonna unblock soon...*sigh* On a Mexico thread talked to someone that is waiting this since Nov 30th 2018 is really unfair. They really should think on sending 2019 cases to Missisauga is none sense...
