Good morning everyone!

I was finally able to check application status on ecas yesterday using sponsor info & receipt #. We also got our AOR and Biometrics request last night. PA is my husband in Jamaica; I think I saw a few other ppl with spouses there earlier in the thread. Hoping we all get through this process quickly!!

That's awesome :).. This is the most exciting part of the process. Knowing that your application was complete..

Oh yes it is. I spent months. I had all my friends reviewed that application before I send it in. I even send in soo much proof and letters, pics. But I've heard applications being returned for the simplest mistake.

Yeah for real... big sigh of relief to know it’s moving forward

As per the KVO forum, apparently the Kingston Visa Office doesn't process family sponsorship during the summer months. I am hoping that we all get processed before June/July. Goodluck

@rach_yyz any update on your end?

No!!! Mine was received Feb.22nd and still no AOR and I can't pull anything on ECAS. I did call into the CIC call centre and they confirmed they got it and gave me a temporary application number starting with XF. They said once AOR is coming they will drop the X in front of the number and that will be my application number. So at least I know they got it and are working on it. Definitely a test in patience.

Hmm - sent an email from the "contact us" page asking why I couldn't link from my (sponsors) account and if there were any issues I needed to address. Here's the core of the reply:

We have verified the sponsorship application and were unable to find information stating that you are the representative for the principal applicant.

The Privacy Act ensures that a person's identity and personal information are protected. For this reason, we cannot take action on your request since this file contains personal information about another person.

In order to respond to your inquiry, the principal applicant must provide written consent to IRCC by completing the Use of a Representative form and submitting it via the IRCC Web form. You may also contact the appropriate governing body to verify that you are a member in good standing.

Oh well - I'll have my wife try to make an account and link. Perhaps the different last names confused them?

.... Bruce (still sitting in "Received" as of this morning in ECAS)
