If you prepared the entire application with forms that are pushing a year old there's certainly a chance of it being returned.

This post almost gave me an anxiety attack
I had to check my saved documents to verify if had used newer forms(thankfully i did)
I can only imagine the level of stress and frustration one has to face in these circumstances :(

Well, I do hope my post can help some people to check their forms before sending. Unfortunately, as someone mentioned, people are coming to this forum mostly after they have submitted an application. So since my previous post is now a few pages back, I would like to say it again

For anyone who is going to submit an application soon: guys, please check the forms right before submission. Make sure you are using the latest versions.
Some of the forms were updated in November 2018, some in December 2018. If you send old forms, in most of the cases your application might be returned.

Hello! Wandered here from the November thread. Timing to date: delivery of package Nov 27, return of package due to a missing form Feb 4. New package delivered Feb 18. Will see where I end up in the queue :). US application
SAme here! I was devastated my package was received first week of November 2018. According to an officer I was supposed to send it to Mississauga and then was returned to me because it should've been Nova Scotia. I sent it the next day and then it was received November 29, 2018. My package was returned again because I was missing the additional family information form. I was so devastated and sad because it meant that I had to start from Zero again. I sent my application again and it was received February 18, 2019. Hopefully, this time is the last time I sent this package.

When I referred to 4-6 months I was thinking more along the lines of rather than it taking 2-3 months to have AOR and the process begin to flow, you end up waiting 2-3 months only to be rejected and then back to square one in which you again need to wait 2-3 months to receive your AOR.

Whilst you say it’s not the end of the world it’s a 2-3 month setback that I’m sure nobody would wish for... a lot of us are away from our loved ones: partners, children, family and 2-3 extra months away from them is a killer as I’m sure you’ll agree.
I agree with you Josh, having my husband away, everyday is a killer for me. We've been married since April 2018 and it's devastating that we can't be together yet.

I came over from the November group got my application returned for missing country specific document. Application was re submitted received on February 18

It was weird about my country. As an optional document u need to include church wedding certificate. It's fine with me. But in Ukraine it is optional for people to have wedding at church

My application was also returned ocountry specific doc was missing. I have

the form missing was the supplementary travel for but for dependant over 18. I missed filling a copy for dependant. Also when I called CIC the lady was saying that signatures had a 90 day threshold. So she suggested I get all documents re signed. and use the updated forms. It was quite frustrating. Anyway I'm hoping all will be clear this time around.

Weird, I do not see a copy on the list of documents for Ukraine. Looks like different countries different documents. Good luck

You guys have approximate timeline for getting sponsorship approval letter? I am planning to apply visitor visa for my spouse after sponsorship approved.

For All those who have written Principal Applicant’s Visa Office as Sydney, Nova Scotia. That is an error since that is the office that you submit to not your PA’s office. PA’s office would be their country of residence (eg: NEW Delhi for India) or where their applications are processed like London Visa office for some Middle Eastern countries etc..) I would request that you change it to the right office if Sydney is what you have added on the spreadsheet.
