as i understood
Security = BGC

Eligiblity.. well the word says it :p but what i don't get this step should be when you are transferred to VO which unless i haven't been notified .., not
Eligibility can start before too since each case is handled by 2 officers one at Sydney and other at the local VO. The officer at Sydney makes notes on GCMS to the second officer and mentions about eligibility stating (Recommended passed or Further review required or Interview needed etc). I think if the first officer can ease out the process of reviewing eligibility earlier then they do so but for cases they cant make notes on, wait until the second officer at VO gets to it. You should read the ‘understanding GCMS notes’ thread. They explain this quite well.

I notified through WebForm of my change in address (I moved back to the UK from Canada when I came to give my biometrics and will now stay here until the process is done), however I have heard nothing back from them, no clarification they received it and my address has not changed. Any advice?
I know that the WebForm is for when your file is within Canada, so do you think it’s been transferred without me knowing, hence why I haven’t heard back?
Any advice would be great :)

Huge huge huge congrats!!! What an incredible feeling that must be.
Thanks for all your help along the way, and best of luck in your new life in Canada :D
It does feel good! Thank you and I am gonna be on the forum as much as I can. Don’t feel like abandoning this awesome place just yet :p

Thanks! I’m not in too much of a rush to phone; just would like to see if my background check is almost complete etc. Also about where my file may be.

Did you speak to anyone yet? Just curious as to what they might tell you

well i'm glad that it would finally be started , issue is i can't remember when it did tho.... and unless calling there's no way to get those informations..

I haven’t phoned but I have submitted a WebForm through the London Visa Office to see if my file is there as sometimes they don’t email you when it’s transferred. We shall see!

hehe yeah those technicalities disappear sometimes. I'm still waiting news too, not sent anything to Mexico VO but i think i will with time.

Got asked a question by my lovely wife last night and I realized I didn't know the answer - when they ask you to send in the passport, is it to the local consulate/embassy or Ottawa? If the former, can it be hand-delivered? (Living outside of Washington DC it would be easy to hand-deliver), and how long does it take to get it back?

Usually it's supposed to be mention where to send it ? i guess it's related to the place the transfer has been done no?

We're not quite at that stage yet - just thinking ahead since we have a couple of trips planned in the next few months.
