appreciate some advise on how best to practice for the exam besides reading the book? any specific iphone app recommendations?
Thanks!
I read the book end to end about 2-3 times (including the pictures and text) and took these free tests:

http://www.toptipsclub.com/Citizenship_Test_Index_KB.asp
http://citizenshipcounts.ca/quiz

http://www.yourlibrary.ca/citizenship/
http://www.v-soul.com/
http://www.apnatoronto.com/canadian-citizenship-test-practice/

and scored 20/20. The actual test ended up being way more simple and I finished it in 5-10 mins.

I think the agents have same information wat we can see online and they give this typical answer to every one its not something new i believe they are helpless

Ok guys this is the election strategy to slow down the canadian citizenship application process as there must be a concern raised by conservatives and i believe conservatives are biggest opposers of immigrants this is why there is no moment at all every thing is stand still.

as if they really need to slow what is already at snail pace :(

I don't think so. Oaths have been lined up in Calgary for the 18th,26, Nov 2,5,7,9. Not sure where you're from but Calgary has been pretty quick

You have very correctly narrated about locations. One of our known person is in immigration office. As per him they have expedited the work by clearing huge backlog and CPC offices where applicants are small applicants are getting results. GTA, Quebec overloaded with citizenship applicants.

Although I should meantion that Online it just says in process but when I click on it it says in the notes that a test invite was sent to me on September 30th. However the email I only just got yesterday. Every time I would check online what the status of my application was and I saw “in process” I thought there was no change. I should have actually clicked it to check and I would have known 2 weeks ago already

Hey everyone, I just gave the test at Vancouver test centre & passed it 20/20. I thought it was way too simpler than most practice test I solved. I thought I over-prepared.
After the test I had to wait around 40-45 mins for the interview. All I was asked to show was passport, PR card & My BC health card.

How are you able to get the dates of the oath ceremony’s s? I’m asking because I need to get my passport ASAP so I wonder if I can request to go to the soonest oath date they have after I take the test

It's a paid practice test website but very thorough. I paid $30 for it and passed my test with 20/20. Otherwise there are free practice tests as well. Read the book twice and practice some questions, you'll pass it. It's not difficult. On my exam day most of us finished within 20 minutes or so. Good luck
Thanks! I used this website and was really helpful. Passed the exam today 20/20.
The officer requested that I have my passports translated and sent to them to confirm my entry/exit stamps since many of them are not in English.
