Hello everyone,

I passed my citizenship test. I got 20/20.
One thing to note is that they have changed the questions somewhat and you have to read them twice before answering.

Goodluck to those left.

Hi All,

I appeared for my citizenship exam yesterday and passed it. The status on ECAS has changed to Decision Made today.

Admin: can you please update the status on tracker?

Thanks

Guys do you know if my wife is pregnant and we have to do the delivery back home because we don't have help in Canada, the baby is not going to get the citizenship if I don't get it before delivery, and I will have to do sponsorship, and I will also need a visa to be withy wife during the delivery, would this be a good reason to apply for urgent processing?
My application is in process since May 9th and I don't think I will be done with the process before the delivery date in October. Any ideas? Thank you wonderful ppl

Your best option is call them and ask the same questions.

hi joseph,

i guess you are lebanese?

y dnt you guys deliver here. get the baby passport and then go back home?

i delivered here and we didnt have any help. you have lots of support groups who can give you help. and if you are working you can get maternity/paternity leave which will give you time to get the passport and take care of the baby

Hi Joseph,

I agree with @alinech 's advice. Deliver the baby here - (go to a church for support even if you are not a christian), just find support groups. It will be too much stress for you to attempt to deliver outside of Canada for the following reasons:
1. Since you are from Hamilton, the possibility of getting test and oath before Oct are pretty slim as Ontario locations are notoriously slow.
2. If you travel out of Canada, you would have to travel back and forth for your test and oath. That's additional financial stress in my opinion.
3. In addition to the point No:2 above, you would have to start baby's process which is a whole new ball game and you might have to also consider the fact that you still have to continue meeting residency obligations until your oath date.

In my opinion, it is better to just give birth here, get your baby's birth certificate and then get your citizenship before you leave.

Dear Seniors. Today I have contacted IRCC and the agent told me that my background chek has been completed and I have been put in the queue for interview for checking of documents being 75 years old as there will be no test.
As you all knows that in Mississauga the pace is very slow due to heavy load of applications. My file is in process since 16 may. Will any of the the senior or experienced persen will share his experiencea about waiting period in the queue. Regards

Hi, does anyone know what number to call for any update regarding the application as mine is IP since May 13? Im from Edmonton. Thanks in advance.

Wondering if all the agents are on holiday? There hasn't been any traction for almost anyone in the past 2 weeks at all.

How long does it usually take to change the status from IP to decision made ? I passed my exam on aug/8th but its still IP.
