Hi Guys,

I am not on the spreadsheet, my application was delivered on Feb 06, No AOR yet...not sure what is happening...I assume even if they returned my documents I should have received it by now..checked ECAS too but no update..I chked with CIC couple of days ago they said they are still on Feb 04 application...But almost everyone after me got their AOR..

why would you do that? why you did not provide your home address or work or friend?
Home address not because will be moving to different address son . I don’t want to provide work address, I am looking for better opportunity and freind address I won’t provide .
Doesn’t ups mail box address will cause delay ? Thats the reason they are not sending AOR or application back ?

I know whatever address you provide, once you move you can update your address through ECAS or by contacting them.

Hey everyone,

I had applied for my citizenship on 5th Feb and my application was received on 11th Feb, but today I got my application back( dated 11th April). The reason stated by cic is that my language requirements can't be verified, as I had sent an expired academic IELTS score (photocopy), assuming cic would have my general score from the time of PR( naive I know).
I need your help in clarifying few following points:

1. I found my expired original general IELTS scorecard, will that work?
2. Since the returned application was stapled, should I fill out all the forms again and prepare a new application or should I just attach the new IELTS card and use the returned application?

Your help will be greatly appreciated.

Dilemma of whether it qualifies to be processed urgently or normal processing
I read in this forum that some application were on hold as they were unable to decide if it’s eligible to be

Did u have an idea about the time they suppose to hold it before processing it?

Hey I don't think that problem was that you have sent a photocopy I did the same and I received my AOR and waiting on test invite...
I think the problem was that you have sent academic IELTS. It is stated on their web site and this is copy-paste:
"The results must be from general training (not the academic version)"

this is a link to a page where that is stated:
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...itizen/eligibility/language-proof/step-2.html

Now that you have found General IELTS scorecard that one should work!
Best of luck!

Yes, if received through email then there will be a .pdf file with info that they received your application. There will be a link on how you can check the status online and a link of study guide to prepare for the test. Congrats! On your AOR.

Remember to update your address ASAP, you don’t want to be in this dilemma for your finger print request , test invite and oath.
Remember finger print request comes in mail as hard copy and you don’t want it to be lost at UPS. Note: not everyone gets finger print request, just saying I would update the address ASAP on ECAS

I received below stated in cic AOR letter. They want me to go for English test ? I already provided ielts general result . Please see below this is what I received on attached letter :

All citizenship applicants between 18 and 54 years of age on the date they sign their application must meet language and knowledge requirements to become a Canadian citizen. If this includes you, you will need to:
• Demonstrate competence in basic communication in English or French.
• Pass a written or if necessary, an oral test on your knowledge of Canada and the rights and responsibilities of citizenship.

Hello guys, I check my mailbox everyday for the fingerprints instruction, its been more than a week but there is no letter yet from CIC. Should I call them or just wait?
