Hello,

Does anyone know what "this information/ documents" refers to? The payment or the receipt?

Thanks a lot!

This is in reference to your application for permanent residence in Canada.

On July 31st, 2018, biometrics collection (biographic data, fingerprints and a photograph) became a requirement when you apply for permanent residence.

According to our records, biometrics fees are required for the following individual(s):

At this time in regards to biometrics collection, you have already paid $85.00. You must only pay the remaining biometric fee of an additional $85.00 and subsequently submit/upload the scanned copy of the payment receipt (details below).

Payment of Biometric Fees

  1. This fee must be paid at the following link: https://eservices.cic.gc.ca/epay/.

  2. Click “Continue” at the bottom of the first page.

  3. Select “Immigration” then under “Other immigration services”, select “Biometrics”.

  4. Select the fee that applies to your application.
Note: “If you qualify for the “family” or “groups of performing artists” rates, only enter “1” into the ‘Quantity’.

  5. Click “Submit” and complete payment.

  6. Upload the receipt via your MyCIC account.
Once the fee is paid, you will receive further instructions (Biometric Instruction Letter) on when and how to give your biometrics. Once you have received the Biometric Instruction Letter, you can go to one of the official locations to give your biometrics.

For further information regarding biometrics collection, please visit our website:

Please note:

The above information/documents must be received within 7 days from the date of this correspondence.

Thank you for the interest you have shown in Canada. Sincerely,

Basically, you need to pay first (at which point you'll get a receipt) and then "Upload the receipt via your MyCIC account.". If it follows the normal pattern, you will get a letter stating you have 30 days to give biometrics.

Hi, Could someone please help regarding the financial documents

1) Should all the accounts that is being owned be listed, or only the account in which we would want to show the sufficient balance be mentioned in the letter that we get from the bank? Say I have both checking and savings account but I would want to show only my savings account, since I have been moving everything to it from my checking. So, I don't have any balance in my checking, Should I still show that?

2) All outstanding debts such as credit cards and loans, would it just be from the financial institution that I'm taking the letter from or will they even consider other debts such as credit cards which is from a different financial institution.

This is some deep analysis, LOL!!

As it states - "...you will receive further instructions (Biometric Instruction Letter) on when and how to give your biometrics. Once you have received the Biometric Instruction Letter, you can go to one of the official locations to give your biometrics..."

So information/documents refers to Biometric Instruction Letter and not the payment towards the Biometric.

Hey guys,

AOR Feb 16 here. I observed a ghost update on my profile just now. No emails received but checked the portal for found the following changes:

* Review of medical results changed to You passed the medical exam.
* UCI has changed to a 10 digit number
* Tracker bar is back with the ETA as 4 months. No change in the date of ETA as such.
* No update for BIL
* And they have made my whole name UPPERCASE. Doesn't look so appealing though. Lol :p

I presume I should wait for BIL email to be sent in the next batch. Anyone else from Feb 16 AOR on the same boat?

Hello. Can anyone from India who gave biometrics tell me how long it takes to get an update. I gave my biometrics on 1st April and it’s been 4 days but there is no update . I checked with tracking ID on VFS website and it says “ your package has reached Bangalore VAC and on transit to IRCC office in Bangalore for processing.” This message is same since day 2.
