According to IRCC they have started processing cases on weekends too, but most probably that will the PA and CA only. The immigration officers are unlikely to work on weekends. Also, they don't send out any sort of communications on weekends. sometimes you might get it on weekends because of some delays. I forgot to mention the time zones, I thought I did.

So no communication during weekends, so I can have psychological relaxation today .
Man, I am dead because of the stress, I know inshAllah everything will be fine but I hate to wait, specially when I don't have a deadline.

Got PPR on 12th September 2019 (Issue date is 11th September 2019). AOR 24th February. One thing i should mention here is when 6 months passed and there were no update i was getting frustrated. Then on September 6 or 7 i raised a webform inquiring about the application status. On 11th September i got reply from them saying

"Thank you for contacting Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

We verified the information you provided and can confirm that the application is still in process.

All the required documents and information have been received by the responsible office for the moment.

While the processing times may vary with each case, we will make all the necessary efforts to finalize your application as soon as possible.

Rest assured that you will be informed as soon as a decision is reached or if additional information is needed."

Just the next day my golden mail arrived. So webform did some magic after all! Good luck everyone who is still waiting for the golden mail. Raising webform may expedite the process.

Luck you, I did the same and got exactly the same reply exactly 3 days after paying the RPRF, 30 days after another Web form and I was in queue at CPC Ottawa. Not it has been almost 50 days. While my immigration consultant told me So, but doesn't work out for everyone it seems.

What is your AOR date? Why would you need to raise webform right after paying RPRF?? I raised webform after the 6 months timeline passed. I do not have any immigration consultant so i am not sure what you are trying to explain.

I have raised a webform few days before I was requested to pay the RPRF and got their reply 3 days after the payment. I raised the webform around 170 days of processing, as my lawyer recommended me to do so. Some files may be forgotten and raising the webform make them remember your file.

So you did not pay the RPRF upfront while paying for the application fee. As far as i remember it was written in the checklist that it is recommended to pay the RPRF upfront to avoid delay in the process. I would suggest raise another webform and see what happens. Best wishes

My friend, there is nothing you can do that will expedite the process. There were people here who had contacted Mr. Ahmed Hussen, Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship. They were told that their application will be processed in due course. Also, I was told many times by agents that the Visa officers have complete freedom to take as long as they want on each application. There nothing an applicant to do speed up the process. Also, there is no such thing as a forgotten file, there is only those are chosen first and the ones that are put on hold. This forgotten file looks like an excuse immigration consultants use when they have no other replies.
If you hear anyone say that something can speed up the process and it happened for them, its just pure luck. I have been here for a while and to this day I have not even seen a web form getting a applicant specific reply. Its always the same standard reply.
All you can do is wait and hope your day comes soon

I was not giving hope, I was saying that I have raised 2 webform and nothing yet. Our friend who got his PPR next day was, for me a complet luck. That is all.

So matter who you contact or webform you raise, you will always be number X in the queue. What I believe is the paying RPRF upon request would give you a conceret image on where you are in the process and would delay your application a few days. At least the days requested to trigger the mail, you paying the RPRF, confirm reception of RPRF, then back to the queue !!!! I would image 4 to 5 working days.

Hi guys!
Been a silent observer like many. Just wanted to update that I also received my PPR on 18th September. However, the mail was lying in my spam box and there was no update in the account (still isnt updated). My APR date is 17th Feb. There is one slight issue which I am facing and could use advice on. I had sent out a web form on 31st August to CIC (and had earlier sent an email to NDVO in July as well) stating that I have moved to Singapore from New Delhi and would like to submit my passports here. They sent an acknowledgement mail as well and said they have updated my profile. However, they have issued the PPR with the requirement to submit in New Delhi.
I have written back to them and apprised them of the details. What should I be doing in this situation? Do you think they are likely to respond and change the passport submission location to Singapore?

I don't know which is good. There are people who paid upfront and got PPR before day 90. Also there are people who got RPRF request on the 140th day and still had to wait 60+ days to get PPR. It all comes back to "Its case by case, every case is different" standard reply from IRCC.
What your lawyer told you is correct. Its not out of respect for the queue, but the VO officer has the right to decide when and where he will verify each application. If he decides he is going to work on your file 30 days from now, no one in the world can ask him to work on it earlier, even if someone asks he is not obliged to do so. I know a guy who used to work in London VO. He told me this.
All we can do is wait till our moment comes.
