Don't worry about it. There is no known pattern here and we have no control over it either.. just wait and keep busy elsewhere!

Yes but recommended pass is essentially passed, pending some formalities. I imagine it might be extremely rare for an eligible application to be deemed ineligible, after the fact. They're not going to work extra to make you ineligible. It's a points based validation and your points are locked in. Your opinion would be very different if you were in my 'eligibility not met' club lol then you'd have a real concern about eligibility.. so consider yourself fortunate! And yes it's just a matter of that final review from the officer; the dreaded waiting game!
Yeah, I've been told by an agent, recommended pass basically means pass, It just need to be accepted by the Senior officer, when I called them a week before crossing 6 month mark. He also said I could still receive my final decision with in the time frame because the VO can finish it couple of days if they want. Next Tuesday, I will complete one month in recommended pass, others have been stuck in the recommended pass stage for months. Yeah, its only a matter of time for His/Her Majesty the Officer to finally review it, but when will that time come?

For all I know and have seen in these last few months an "eligibility not started" could easily be changed to recommended pass and then to pass with in a day and the security be done in the next couple of days and I could still be waiting for my officer to review my file :D
I have read on another thread that an applicant had his final decision made only two minutes after meeting Eligibility (A11.2). So, its all just a matter of time. :p

Hi @RBV2909 any idea about the efficiency of CPC OTTOWA like the speed of processing applications ? Is there any trend or pattern that you guys might have noticed ?? I am naive n new to this forum but I saw last 3 PPR’s issues by CPC OTTOWA. Two of them came on 205th day n 1 came on 206th day. I don’t know if it is some trend or benchmark but I am wishing and hoping that trend to continue .

Its hard to mate. when i started my research, I saw people keeping their fingers crossed for their applications to be sent to Ottawa. One my friend got his (two applicants) PPR approved with in 60 days in the beginning of 2018. Another friend whose AOR is Feb8, (11 days before mine) got his (family of 3) PPR on the 92 day, a family friend (family of 3) got their approved on the 111th day. There are plenty of people who left this forum once their application was approved, all with in 4-5 month time frame. only two applications were updated on Myimmitracker for august 31, both were from Ottawa, issued after 230 days. So, it is very difficult to find a trend. Based on the experience of everyone I knew who went to canada before me, I was hoping to travel by June-July, now I've become the first one to cross the 6 mark and join the Elite club. My friends are still keeping the room they offered me from July. So, who knows when will it happen. Ironically Ottawa is still the fastest processing office, well, if not the fastest then definitely one of the fastest. They were or may be still are really efficient according to the stats.

If you keep researching you will see plenty of applications approved before 150th day too, even earlier if its a CEC or Inland application. At the same time there will be applications delayed beyond 10 months also. I've seen rejections on 285th and 354th day on immitracker, people say thats impossible to happen., but it did. In my opinion there is no point trying to dig deep into it. I used to hope that mine will come around the time my friends got it and I used to get excited when my application neared those days. But life showed me that " Man proposes God disposes" can be rewritten as "man proposes Canadian Visa Officer disposes" Now, I don't even check my profile or email anymore. I used to do that first thing in the morning for 6 months. I am still curious to see how this will end, but i've also started preparing for other options. I realised i've already wasted enough time for a country like Canada. Really couldn't care less anymore about this.

So there is no trend or likelihood of being followed one but Your message brought a little smile on my face “Ottawa is still the fastest processing office”

Thanks a lot for the reply.

I have a query, my spouse is not claiming any points for work experience. But under work history, I selected option yes and submitted the work experience documents ( non Canadian exp) for my spouse. Will this affect the application or timeline ?

Hi Friends
I have been issued COPR in Vancouver after landing interview on Thursday 22nd August, also received my PR Card at home in Canada . I am wondering how the dependents ( my family) who are in home country will be informed by CIC for passport request / stamp process? During interview the visa officer said that visa office will contact via email , phone etc to my family. But around 2 weeks passed so far and I have not got any information.......can anyone guide me how the process for my family is going to be? I haven't got any email/ request in my CIC account also.
I am inland EE PNP candidate AOR March 29, 2019
Anyone in same situation or has been with same situation Appreciate your thoughts.
Thanks

Another family friend got their PPR within 45 days of filing AOR in December 2017. Another friend who had filed in December of 2018 got in 7 months and 2 days. One office colleague whose AOR was somewhere in Nov 2018, received PPR exactly on the day when he completed 6 months. all 3 have got it from CPC ottawa directly..
