Hi! I have a question.
I am going to send our spousal application - outland (my husband is a citizen in Philippines) at the end of June. I am a permanent resident.
I noticed that the new policy for Police Clearance is to submit it together with initial application package. We don’t have a problem with that but we are just a little bit confused with the Police Clearance requirement. Are we going to send the non accompanying family members as well like his father, mother and his brother? I am just going to sponsor my husband and it says there that I should submit a police clearance for 18 yrs and above family member. Should I include them? Thank you in advance for the reply! And I hope everything will turn out well to all of us in regards to this application.

No, his parents and brother don’t need a police clearance as they are not included in your application. The CIC definition of family members is:

Family members
An applicant’s closest relatives, in the context of an application to IRCC. It is defined as a spouse or common-law partner, dependent children, and their dependent children.
