Yes even the officer who was checking my documents said "oh looks like this is an old application - why did it take so long for your test" LOL

I had to go to two seperate MPs - the first one didnt really do much. The 2nd MP was pretty helpful and i got test date within 2 weeks ..

I am also about to reach one year on July 29th since my citizenship application received by IRCC and they havent sent me test invite as of yet..can you please tell me how you engaged your MPs who helped you?...did you emailed them or visited personally?..did your regional MP helped you or you got hold off another MP from another region...

Will be really grateful for any tips and help

Hey - I went to two different MPs. First one was from brampton ..i remember his last name - sangha. His assistant saw me, i never met the MP.
The lady said she will email immigration and get back to me. They were not very helpful and their inquiry did nothing.
Then i decided to go to another MP. This time I asked around from my friends and family to give me reference or tell me a good MP.
I requested this MP (from calgary) to help me out and they did. Right after they sent in an inquiry i got response the next day from immigration dept.

So i my suggestion is get a good MP. Try asking around - friends family or anyone who can refer or suggest a good MP around your area.
