February 2017 - Citizenship Applicants

I submitted application in 9th feb and they started process feb 23 and March 29th received letter stating required finger prints.
Finger prints done April 6th and I called rcmp to know status of my finger prints they told me it is in process and once process is complete they will send to cic, I would like to know how long it usually takes for finger print process.
If any of member can advice.

I did my FP in march 28 and I call CIC they said they received it in April 7, my e-case still in process and I still waiting

I called rcmp yesterday and they told me that they've forwarded my fp to cic in 27th and when I called cic.... person I spoke with he said that it is not showing in our system lol ... but he told me to call next week ... and he said next step will be exam date.... well good luck to you

I did my fingerprint on March 17. No news so far :-[ ???

Did my test yesterday. We are 4, 2 got 19 and 2 got 20. the test is easy, study the book, make your own notes and practice the on-line questions and quizzes. The whole thing took 2 hours, let us inside 830 and left 1030 (waiting period between test instructions and to call for the interview about 50 minutes)
The interview is basically to verify the documents, you need to take all originals like PR, driver's license, health card, passports, landing paper, proof of language.
Interview questions like.. where do you work? do you work full time? do you file your income tax?
It was smooth.. so no need to worry. Wish everyone good luck and wish our Oath letter arrive soon

Hi.. congratulations. A quick question for you. I assume your application was family one. Can you confirm whether interview was individual or together with other co applicant of family.

Hello Folks. It has not been very pleasant for me. My application is in process since Feb 26th and I haven't heard anything since then.
I don't know why there is no response so far. I see even March applicants have received the test invites. It is not good, hopefully things will change for good soon Anyone with the same case?

My interview was very easy. The person interviewing me asked for my passport and I.d (my drivers licence), he asked about trips outside the country, asked if I had ever been in trouble with the police ( I haven't), and confirmed my address. The whole interview was over and done with in 2 minutes.

2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on February 28, 2017.
3. We started processing your application on March 2, 2017.
4. We sent you a notice on March 24, 2017 to appear and write the citizenship test on April 10, 2017 at 8:15 AM. The notice you will receive by mail will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us.
5. We sent you correspondence on March 30, 2017. If you have not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible.
