So finally an update of sorts. My eCAS main status has now been changed to DECISION MADE.

Although the details when you click on the link still just say "We started processing your application on ...." and no further, so something is still broken with eCAS.

Ah well, hopefully we'll hear from them soon.

Hi guys,

I took my Citizenship Oath this morning. So, the journey is over and I became Canadian now. I am really thankful to everyone in this forum has shared his/her experience so we could keep on the right track of patience. The Timeline of my application is below (i.e., my signature). To note, my ECAS has not been updated since it got DM on June 24.

I hope that everyone still in the process all the best.

Thanks and have a good day :)

Congrats!
Guessing / hoping we'll probably get our Oath ceremonies for around the end of August.

Congrats Reom27 :D

Cappuccino,
Good to know your status got updated after a long time. Since you are also from Surrey, I'm also eager to know your oath invite and timelines. I took the test a few weeks after you and once you get the oath invite, I can expect the same after a few weeks later. It seems there are not much oath ceremonies listed in Surrey compared to Vancouver....anyways, good luck! :)

Hi :) Yeah we are also Surrey. Some visa office take only a few days from test to Decision Made. Ours took 6 weeks which seems a long time.

As I said the actual eCAS detail line once you click the status is still broken for us.

Does your eCAS say Decision Made yet or still In Process?

Yes Cappuccino, mine got updated 3-4 days after the test as "Decision Made" and clicking the link shows the test invite details. However, for my daughter who also took the test, it still shows "In Process"; which I think they will update only for adults and not for minors.
Since yours got updated recently, I have a gut feeling that they might have send you the Oath letter!
Anyways, let's see!
:D

Hello,

Since March board is almost dead I would like to ask something here. In the test invite letter it says that we have to bring copies of passports and everything in the checklist in the application package, does this mean also the forms? or just all the copies and original of the documents.

Thank you,

Not the forms. All the originals of the docs you kept along with the application + one copy of passport bio pages should be carried for interview. In my case, the passport bio copy was not asked for; but they checked all the original doc.

I would also suggest you print copies of i94 from the US border controls site if you made any trips to the US during the 6 years prior to your application.

When I had my interview they were quite grateful I'd printed the i94 out - and might just save you a residency questionnaire and therefore delays.

I took all my original certificates but they didn't seem interested in the language proof (presumably since they could talk to me to validate language) - mainly the passports and proof of landing etc.

Even though the request letter asked for copies of the bio pages to be brought with us, they didn't ask to see or keep the copies.

Hope this helps,

Hi - well some exciting news we got our Oath Invites by mail today for 22nd August!

So approx 2.5 months after taking the test. Around 6.5 months after application arrived in Sydney, NS.
Best of luck to everyone else waiting.

Congrats Cappuccino..so my guess earlier on your ecas update was correct!
May I please know if your oath is in Surrey or Vancouver?
Probably we can expect ours in 2-3 weeks time and long before the PR expires in December.

Would it affect the processing of my application, if I had not returned my last I-94 (expired) yet?

Thanks
