Hello everyone,
First of all, I would like to thank everyone for posting their experiences during their application process. Your posts were really helpful for me to finally finish the application process to sponsor my wife. Since everyone here is an experienced person, I am hopeful I will be getting some useful replies.
To start my story, I came to Canada as a student in 2011 and got my PR status on Feb 22nd 2014. In 2013, I was in India for 5 months and in July 2014, I met my wife (then girlfriend) and we fell in love with each other. My return was scheduled for Sept 2013 and since then, we both were in a long distance relationship. During this long distance relationship period, my wife (then girlfriend) applied for a tourist visa twice and it was rejected both the times stating the reason that they don't see her intentions to come back and lack of financial support. Which was partially true as she didn't tell her family that she applied for a Canada TRV and hence cannot provide financial support documents. However, we booked her return tickets at that time itself. Since her visa was rejected twice and we wanted to be together, I went back to India in July 2014 and we got married.
During my visit to India, we went to Goa as well as I introduced my girlfriend (now wife) to my parents that this is the girl I want to marry. However, they did not agree with our decision and we got married in court with very minimal rituals. We do have photos and proofs of everything since our relationship is genuine.
We started gathering our documents in December 2014 since my wife was occupied with her CA (Chartered accountant) exams. We already kept PCC as well as medical report in the application and today (Feb 22nd 2015) I mailed her application to Mississuaga CPC under spouse sponsorship category.
Having said all that, below is the list of my questions:
1. I would like to add my name is the excel sheet which is being rotated for Feb 2015. Can anyone help me with that?
2. Since we have a complicated story and most of the time of our relationship was long distance, does that affect our application? Just to recap, I have provided all the required proofs such as phone bills, whatsapp chat history for 2013 as well as 2014, viber chat/call history, gmail chat history, emails we exchanged, gifts we exchanged, mails we sent to each other, etc
3. I am in Canada since 2011 and I have attached all my notice of assessments with the application and someone advice me that if I have all notice of assessments, I should not wait for Option C. What do you suggest? Shall apply for option C and send it if requested or will just notice of assessment suffice for my application?
4. I have heard that average processing time on CIC website shows around 15 months for Delhi office but people get the process completed in a span of 7-8 months. How true is that?
Thanks and will be waiting for the reply.
Cheers,
Bhavesh
