Yeah. they say that the processing is much faster now. I believe from 2 years before, it has gone down to a year or less now. Depends on the local processing office.

pelipeli2, have you checked the processing time for calgary? is it fast?

not quite. According to the spreadsheet below, it's taking an average of 450 days (rough estimate) from app received to test notification. :( :( :( :(

ok, lets just hope then that it will be faster.

It looks like I will not be in the Feb group after all :( :( :(

Can someone provide estimated numbers that which CIC office is fastest? Vancouver VS Toronto VS Edmonton for Citizenship applications? Toronto is most populated city but it seems Missisauga applicants get AOR within 4 months while others are slow????

Any perspective on this?

Dude CIC still says 24 months for routine applications but I agree with you because I have seen some cases lately where applicant took oath in 17 months? Which office is fastest folks?

I submitted my application on January 31, and received today February 05 ... the wait has just began :)

Scarborough i understand takes the lead. I was reading through some threads, and there were many who got the AOR after 2 months after the application and then the test notice two months after the AOR. Yeah, the cic site still says 24 months though so i'm not sure if that is updated.

Gets a bit confusing with two threads floating around for Feb applicants but Heatspine I agree with your observation. Looking at multiple threads it does seem that Scarborough processing is the quickest so far again just my personal opinion and observation.

Yeah. I guess its not only Scarborough who's speeding up. They really want to have a zero backlog by 2016 hence the reason why the processing is faster.

Where is everyone's local office? My application lands in Montreal.

Hi friends, My documents are ready, just have to get my photo taken this week and pay the fees online next week and I'm all set.

Signing my application on Feb 16, 2015 and sending off the application on Feb 17.

Just a few questions:
For the photos, the requirement "Provide the name of the photographer or the studio, the studio address and the date the photos were taken on the back of the photos", this can be handwritten right?

P.S There are two Feb 2015 threads.... ;)

Photo with studio's stamp with date would be enough. Most delay in processing of application is caused by submitting the application with less than required number of days.

To be on safe side, make doubly sure you have enough extra number of days than minimum required to avoid any problems.
