If you lived in Canada for the last 2 years, they will extend your medicals for 3 months. I've seen they extended people's medical's for 6 months. But that's mostly special occasions. Usually, it's just 3 months.

Thanks a lot for the encouragement and letting me know guys! That gives me some hope!

Like angelstamaria I wonder too how you guys know? Did theyet you know when you got PPR? Or when you got COPR? Or did you have to call?

Leazy and Angelstamaria,

To know if your medical has been extended or will be extended, call CIC call centre and pretend you are worried that that your medical will expire soon and no decision has been made on your file yet. They will tell you if it has been extended or if it will be extended. Thats how I got to know about mine. That was what I did and I hope it works for you. The call centre guys are not always friendly to give you a direct answer to your question if they feel you already know something.

Wow congrats! You must be getting very excited, I'm due May 19th :) Did you let CIC know about your pregnancy? Are you inland applicant and if you already got PPR are you planning on doing your landing before you give birth?

Thank you buddy! I know it's been asked a thousand times here but what's the number I have to call? I've never called them before.

I also just tell them I don't have internet access. One agent told me to just check online, so i say that I don't have internet where I am. I've also had better luck asking a series of specific questions. e.g. "have you received my medical"... "when does it expire as it feels like I sat it a year ago, etc".

When I've asked "can you tell me as much as you can", all I get in response is "it's in process".

Hope this helps

Leazy...let us know what they tell you about your application if you speak with CIC.

yes leazy im inland applicant. My friend who applied for pr didnt mention it to cic since she gave birth..she already gave birth before they got their pr. If were going to be ppr before i give birth im not gonna cross the border maybe just go to edmonton in canada place. Will do schedule there...but since this looks like impossible coz our permit will take long before it comes back. Wp extension takes almost 2mos now. So maybe after i give birth will do landing.how about you?

Hi all

i recevie the letter from CPC-Ottawa, this is the confirmation of PR

is it already approved ?? they didn't send me the PPR before i get this today

Not to cause concern or anything, but take notice that concealing your pregnancy/giving birth might get you in trouble with CIC later on. Obviously they won't check up on you after getting your PR or anything like that. But if you eventually apply for citizenship for example, when they do all their background checks they can see in your file that you hadn't told them about your child earlier, and something like that can be considered immigration fraud. So please tread carefully.
