My candid advice to you is not to update your address to the new one. Leave the old address you already have setup with CIC....since you are nearing the end of this PR journey. Don't complicate your issue with unnecessary confusion....I can't trust CIC to handle issues promptly these days.
Instead contact Canada Post online and setup an account with them to route ALL your mails addressed to the old address to your new address. Canada Post will drill you through some security questions....just to confirm your authenticity. Once they confirm this....then they will set up the account for you. You can buy this service for 3, 6 or 12 months. The higher the service duration the larger the amount involved. But I think a 3 months service with them should serve your purpose (i.e. getting your CORP or Passport or any paper communication from CIC). If am right, this 3 months service with Canada Post should cost around $70 or less. I used this service late last year when I moved and am glad I used it then. Because Canada Post promptly routed ALL mails addressed to me using the my old address to the new one (until the service expired).

thanks ED_na.

hi guys

in my experience changing our address online does not make any change in processing...i changed my address in october but i got ppr in nov ..Also when they send ppr they ask for any address change ..and for ppr you can select any address for return envelop doesn't have to be the address on the application..hope it helps
Hi bro. firstly big congrats
bro i had a one more question in my mind that when we go to the border for the PR formality then CBSA officers ask for mailing address for the PR card or they just send to the same address which we already given, without asking to us?

My immigration lawyer handling my case and he gave his office mailing address to them. I think that should be ok right!! coz i guess cic will send my passport to my lawyer office.

Yesterday I met with the office of my local MP regarding my PR application. The kind MP assistance promised to follow up with CIC and get back to me if she found anything.....
well, she just called me back now with the following update:

"According to my inquiry with CIC, your file is doing fine. They are now about completing the security check. That's the only outstanding on your file now. Everything looks ok. They last accessed your file on Nov 15. Get back to our office after the New Year if nothing happens and then we shall see."

I thanked her. At least it's an update...even if indirect.

It seems that they are doing most of ours security check which means that we are not part of any terrorist group ..

I was able to open it this morning but my status was IP >:( >:(

CIC Says that they do updates on ECAS on Tuesdays. If you're not able to get in that is usually why. However as it is wednesday and you are still having issues - try a different web browser and/or clear your cache/cookies of your web browser- this works for me always.

When it happens to me, I always try to clean my cache and even try with different browsers, but it never works! :'(

This is why I asked if someone has the same problem. If it's not only my problem, then probably is a CIC problem.
