if you are PNP holder...your can apply for close work permit with PNP certificate...after getting work permit. You can get temporary resident visa after that...my 3 year Open work permit was expiring in NOV 2014...to just save myself..i got 2 year close work permit now. And also stamping after that....

I already got 2 years work permitt after got Approval but I need work permitt for my wife her work permit is expiring soon.

It may take up to December of this year for some maybe Jan 2015..
Think about it , 1-2 month to wait for DM, Passport Request, it maybe end October or mid November (for some) passport back and forth 2 weeks, landing and waiting time for actual PR 7-8 weeks..

I wonder if CIC will call AINP/Employer for investigation to make sure you are still working in the same company/province after file number/medical request/medical received?

As per i know they don't check employment in federal part but they can if they found something suspicious. I know one guy got request for current paystub and reference letter after getting in process but they didn't call employer.

Thank you for your reply! My friend works in immigration agency told me the same thing that I am free to quit the current job or go for travel for whatever time I want lol
But read some posting on Chinese forum that few people got called for this in federal stage...

dude, you never know what they are gonna ask, the safest is to get Passport Request and after it is all good
