Guys I have asked this question before but did not get a response. I applied for my PR on march 20th and got the AOR and medical request on 23rd April. Medical results have been received in Ecas like a month ago. I requested my application to be processed in Sydney, Australia as I am an Australian resident . No news till now on file transfer. How long does it take ?

Any idea if it will be transferred or will it be processed in Ottawa ?

Please help.

Thanks

Hi Roadtocanada2014
I applied in feb 2014 and still no file transfer or INprocess in my ECAS status. Sit back relax and enjoy the wait with all of us. It is going to take a while. From what i have been reading on this forum, CIC is currently processing November applications. There are tonnes of November applicants who didnt hear back yet. You have long way to go but could be faster depending on your visa office once the file is transferred.
Good Luck!!!
Patience Patience & patience
is all we need

Also, if you live in Canada your application will be transferred to CPC-Ottawa and will be processed from there. If you currently live in Australia and have sent your application from Australia to Sydney, Nova Scotia, Canada then your file will be transferred to the visa office requested by you on the application forms. (which in your case is Sydney, Australia). Now, how long does it take for the file to be transferred to the visa office is a big mystery. Unfortunate but true :)

Hi house,

My AOR came in this week but didnt say anything about a File transfer/ Will this come in later?

I'm outside Canada and would typically not get my MR (comparing to others in my VO) for another 3 or 4 weeks.

Hi Japy77

I think you will be fine. The restriction and requirement in PNP for staying in the same province is directed towards long term plan. Therefore, if you take a 6week vacation or if you go for a training purpose related to job or study, it shouldnot affect anything. (as long as the training is in Canada). If you are leaving Canada, that might be an issue because in that case they might ask you to update your supplementary travel info form. But I think in your case you are travelling to Saskatchewan for 6weeks and you are not going to change your address or change your health card for 6weeks. Therefore, the moral of the story is that "You will be fine". Just take a deep breath and do what you have to do. Good luck with the training

thankyou so much for ur reply. GOD BLESS US ALL
