I received my RPRF last week. So I booked my medical yesterday and I have not yet received a MR from CIC. So I told them that it is an upfront medical. They looked at their system with my passport number and they did find a IME sitting there. So they told me that this is not an upfront as CIC have created a request for MR. But CIC never sent me anything. Either way , if you have received your RPRF and not received MR, there is a good chance that my scenario applies to you. Go and get your medicals done.

Waiting for second review is a kind of torturing,,,.

I filed 4 days behind of you in 28, Feb, 2014.
My due date (31, March 2015)has passed, already.
Hope some update from CIC.

My application is exactly same date as your file, sent Feb-24/AOR Mar-17.
NOC 0621 Retail store manager(Gas station manager).
1st review date was Sep 04, 2014.
Review reason was the job experience(not sure for period/job details) on my GCMS reponse.

I requested for detailed employment letter to the owner, but he refused to issue the letter to me.
(because I quit the job after several months received my open work permit)

So I sent an e-mail to explain my wage/Job title/work experience periods/job detail to CIC on Dec 30, 2014.
I got e-mail they received my supplement from CIC on Jan 26, 2015.
(Of course, there was not any request from CIC.)


And nothing since then...

Now I'm getting nervous more and more as everybody who didn't get MR request.


I know it's not over yet but I'm exhausted!!

Thank you so much for your kind words harry. Speaking from my personal experience; I knew that my files has 4 or 5 major issues like wage per hour, duties were generic, not meeting the lead statement of NOC, NOA and T4 huge difference and etc. But again that all finding was from 1st officer who only bypass applicants 25 to 30%. Speaking of percentage, those all applicants are either have highly skilled job i.e. NOC 0 and A with all pervious experiences or very well paid. Rest all the files are putting for second review. My file was reviewed on Sept 8 first (learnt from GCMS notes). I immediately ask my supervisor to give me a very brief letter which I got in December last year, but I didn't send anything to CIC voluntarily because I had a feeling that sending more documents without being asked will only make my case complicated. According to OP25 if the applicant's have acquired required experience (duration or hours) should give a fair chance to explain their case or provide more evidence to support the claim and visa officer should must give an opportunity to applicant. I might be completely wrong but this is hypothetically my theory.

Mike, one thing I learnt that life has to go on no matter what. I was in so much stress because of all that immigration thing and it start effecting my personal life so I decided to overcome this stress and live my life to the fullest. Do not worry my friend keep doing what you good at and have faith on God and be patient. Your MR on the way.

My due date was Mar 16 and I heard from CIC on Mar 31 requesting my spouse's PCC and schedule A and very next day i.e. April 1st received my MR.

Landing process was smooth, took about 30 minutes to deal with both US and Canadian immigration.

Did you also received any Form IMM1017 (Biodata form) along with you MR instruction PDF ?
and how many days CIC gave you to complete your MR (30/60 Days)?

Yes i did received a attachment file IMM1017 Medical Report Client Biodata and Summary is does have my name client id application number phone number etc. I have 30 days to do my medical exam.

Ditto same here
But I believe 1017 form not required if you book for e-medical enabled dr.
It is only applicable if u visit paper based dr.

Am I correct ?
