My ECAS also changed to "In Process" today with the following updates:

We received your application for permanent residence on February 17, 2014.

We started processing your application on October 30, 2014.

Medical results have been received.

---------------
FYI: I paid my RPRF on OCT 28.. so what does this mean? Are they gonna check my eligibility now or has it been done already?

RPRF only issued once eligibility has passed. You will gonna get your PPR in a week time.

Well of course if your WP is expired , your SIN is tied to it will expire . If you got your COPR/Passport stamped back with you , go outside the country and complete Landing procedures which will make your status "PR"

Then you will be able to work and can get a New Permanent SIN.

Yes you're right. I just talked to my legal rep. He told me the same thing. But he will check with CIC if we can activate the visa from inside Canada. If not then I will get US visa and I will activate it at the border in Niagara Falls.

He also said that once the visa is activated I can get a new SIN# and start working legally.

^You don't need a US Visa to do that. Just tell them you want to land as an immigrant.
But it's always nice to have one.

If you're in a hurry, just go to Rainbow Bridge without the US Visa as this application could take a couple more weeks.

Landing within CIC offices may take around 2 months.

Thanks Ali - could you please update the SS
Also, I applied from Canada, not India (as listed in SS) and then I moved to USA...
Thanks,
Chetan

Yes you don't need US visa for Landing in Canada , That is called Flag polling , the US guys just give you administration refusal when you tell them that you are visiting for Landing (Immigration) and turn back to Canada instantly.

For more details search "Flag Polling" in forum threads.

Sir, you indeed applied from Canada. India shows as your country of origin. Please advise if any further amendment needed?

So it seems I am not the only one who has completed medicals (showing as received on ecas) but no RPRF :-( :-( :-( Why would this be???

I'm in the same boat with you! Hopefully, we will get it soon. It's Tuesday tomorrow, and they usually update all stuff and give more feedbacks on Tuesday. Fingers crossed! :)

Hi Sadd, I have also completed my Upfront medicals and I am also still waiting for my ecas to update as medical received. I have sent three emails to CIC but there is no update from there side. This a wait & watch game.

After going through the different postings its kind of reassuring to note that we are not the only ones in that situation.
Best of luck to everyone still in the waiting.

I checked it on google and found some information. Most of the links from this forum :) But just to make sure I will call the US Embassy to confirm that Flag Polling & Administrative Refusal still exist! I don't wanna be stuck between two borders and become a homeless on the bridge ;D :P
