AOR - 3rd march. MR request received today.

Congrats TechEngg.. you rock man... what time did you get it? i rem'ber seeing the trend of email to be around the evening hours... just counting my days.. App received 17th Feb, AOR on 13 Mar....

guys do you have the phone number that CIC use to call applicants? Is it constant or same# irrespective day & time? that way i can store the # incase they call. sometimes we ignore assuming that its some Marketing call. please share the details.

It's usually a blocked number.

Hey don't be panic
Assume for 1 min call was from CIC and you missed that
Trust me CIC is not going to take any decision based on criteria you are not able to pick call

It's just my friendly advice

I applied in January however my application reached Sydney in Feb. Here are my timelines.
Date application sent: 01/28/2014.
Date it was received: 02/03/2014
Date of AOR: 03/04/2014
Date of MR: 08/19/2014.

Congrats to all of them who got an indication from CIC for the application.
Thank you guys for your quick input in the forum, it helps to build confidence with patience.
I got AOR on 4th March waiting for any indication from CIC. :'(

Thanks for the motivation do you happen to have any idea what do CIC ask when they call?

What I learnt from forum , They may call you for below reasons :
1- To know your exact Role and duties perform day to day
2- To know your company Size and operations
3- May be to send you updated reference letter etc.
and so on .......

For Point 1, 2,3 I am sure they can ask as I have seen forum members posting this kind of call they received May be there could be more reason but not sure
Now next Q which you can argue with me why CIC not send mail and get this info from applicant .
Answer is: Some time VO who is working on you case just need one small input for that he/she don't want to hold your file (waiting for 30/60 days buffer to reply you , then take decision etc.)

I am putting input from some senior members who explained all these in forum

Yes you are right They call to employer also .
BUT
In this forum I have seen few people mentioned they got call from CIC and VO was asking his regular daily activities

NOTE: I already mentioned I don not have any personal experience but from Forum i came to know about this
