Did your friend check if his CC has been charged?
Where is your friend living? If the application in some reason has been sent back and your friend is living outside of Canada it may take some time until the application reaches your friend.

Your friend should have received his AOR by now. Did he check his spam folder? Just in case it went in there instead of his inbox? Also he can try logging into ECAS to check if there's an update on his application. If not, he can contact CIO office and request for an update on his application.

Thank you both. He lives in Europe and his credit card has not been charged. That is not a good sign I guess.

Normally BLS Canada says 4-6 weeks. but i got mine in less than 2 weeks and even for some it was 1 week.
so i would say less than 2 weeks.

Alright thats great, so I am not alone here who is from Pakistan. I did some research applicants from Pakistan origin may have to wait longer. Background check takes forever to complete. Lets hope for the best
