Hi Gary. I think Mississauga got my application today too. I will have to check Canada post tracking but I know it's gonna be there Thursday :D I hope our papers get processed soon.

I saw one earlier, she filed in January 2013 and got AOR just now. It was pretty fast.

Keep the good vibes coming!
from the January thread there are indeed quite a few people that got their approval in 15 to 25 days - much less than the 55 days stated on the website, and hopefully it will continue like this for february as well! :) and there has been a flurry of AORs in the last few days, so it seems that the pace is picking up...

Yey!

The website prolly hasn't been updated. It still says working on apps received in November 2012.

Hi Sweden, just a Q.
Have you heard anyone who had their medicals expired while waiting for the visa process? My husband did his medical last August, and I believe it is only good for a year.

I think if the case is straight forward it gets processed real quick! Remember those times are for 80% of cases!

That's true! I'm getting more inspired now :)

By the way, have you heard from anyone that together with the AOR they will give you an option to send additional docs that you want to put in with the application?

We have a specific country requirement that I want to send them, altho people said it wasn't much of a big deal as others did not provide it too but were requested of it just during PPR with the passport.

medicals are only valid for one year, and if you have done them in August, they might expire before your visa is issued.
If when the VO is about to take a decision, the only thing preventing them from issuing the PR is the fact that medicals have expired, and they have been done in the last 15 months, then they can request an extension of the medicals. If your medicals are older than that OR there is something else missing ( or not assessed yet) when the medicals expire, then they will send you a request to re-do medicals - but no point in doing them in advance, it's best to wait for them to ask.

if it's a document that is more for the applicant, then wait until you are approved and file transferred to your VO. Then send them the additional documents with your file number, UCI etc so they have everything together when they open your application.
If it's something more for the sponsor, you can send it to Mississauga if you have had an AOR and you have your file number etc. But if it's not necessary then wait until the file is transferred.

I'm pretty sure you just send stuff IF they request it. Probably not wise to send more info after they receive it. Maybe only send stuff if they request it. Its what id do.

I got my delivery receipt today. And even though I requested a signature nobody ever signed for it. So annoying! Oh well. At least its there!!

Thanks Sweden and Gary. Then I think I'll just wait until they ask me to send it. Most of the people from same VO said they would normally ask for that specific doc during PPR if they require it.

Gary, mine required a signature too, but I guess we were in the same basket. It is a PO box so maybe no one is really there to receive mails. I just hope our documents get processed soon :)
