Received my ppr today

Faiyaz congrats mate you're all set now.

Can someone tell me if its advisable to apply for another BOWP now, since I have just within 4 months remaining until my current BOWP ends. I have still not got any update from CIC regarding my CEC PR.

Winterfox I would say wait another couple months before you apply for extension of BOWP. Looking at current processing times for BOWP, its a short wait before you get it. Hang in there bud, truly hope you hear from CIC very soon.

@faiyaz.alli
Congrats on the PPR. You're almost at the end of your PR journey.

The BOWP approval process takes less than 20 days. I would advise you to wait till there's just one month left for your current BOWP to expire because your new BOWP will be valid for 1 year from the date of its issue.

One thing you should consider here is that this will be your second BOWP (which may take more time or may be not). Figure out the process and appliaction times for your case, do a little bit of research on:

1. What do you have to do?
2. How is it different from your first BOWP application?
3. How long does the processing take?
4. What is the maximum time that should be left on your 1st BOWP in order to be able to apply for the second one?? (this might be different too or may be not)
Think of anything else that you may have to consider. Start with how to apply and how long it takes, how different is it and then you can take it from there.

nah winterfox, no news, still the good old application received i'm so used to seeing, i mean we've been together for almsot a year now !!!!

K Wessless I shall wait for a couple of months and then apply

For the second BOWP .. would they ask me for an LMO etc? Cos that would be tough to get.

No need for LMO. Its an extension of an open work permit so no need for LMO.

Nasdi, I had a word with CIC in the morning and the lady told me that I needed to email CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca regarding my situation about not hearing anything from immigration. This is a new email id from now on since there were some departmental changes made over the last few weeks and not to email ottpilot-immigration@cic.gc.ca anymore.
So I've sent them an email now lets see what they come back with.

Here is the format u need to use if you're sending an email to them.

If you are the applicant and you must provide us with your:
Surname (Last name) - Exactly as it appears on passport or identity document;
Given name(s) (First name) - Exactly as it appears on passport or identity document;
Date of birth (YYYY-MM-DD);
Unique Client Identifier (UCI) number / Client ID number; and
Application number (V#, F#, EP#, E#, B#).

and then whatever you want to tell them.

Cheers
