Looks like CIC has troubles with their system again they are forgetting to send everyone their approval!

Called CIC - M this morning, they told me that decision has not been made, but atleast they confirmed my application was received by them.

Any one , Any updates, Any approval email.

I am convinced that there is no reason for prolonging the application approval. This is intentional. CIC has the hidden agenda to gradually delay approval of applications to discourage sponsoring.
I expect the time duration to only get longer - 89 days now. I am betting this would become over 100 days soon.

Aren't parents and grandparents sponsorship on hold for the time being? It seems strange that productivity for spousal has flat lined.

Hello, I am just getting worried a little here, I filled up all the forms online, right about when I mailed my application Feb 6/7th,2012 the http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM1344E.PDF form got updated to a validated form.. I could not use that validated form as I have already obtained my spouse signature etc in the package by mail and the same day I posted the package to CIC...

I see somebody from April,12 applicant whose package was returned yesterday by cic asking to refill and resend the whole package back just cause they did not use the newer version of the form.. (validated version) they upgraded the IMM1344E to a validated version just like the main form only on feb 7th,2012.. Any advise? I am not sure what they will do to my package now... Also, cuase this change happened in Feb, anybody who noticed this change? used the previous version and got it approved? or did all changed the version to the validated one right after CIC changed it? Usually forms are filled a little before the package is mailed to cic as it takes time and effort .... I would expect CIC to atleast consider that the package was mailed on or arround the same time the form format was changed! Also, they recommend using a computer.. Not sure if thats needed.. if u dont use a computer, u cant really validate the form anyways.. I m in two thoughts perhaps a little worried..

Before sending the applications, I checked on the CIC site to ensure I had all the newest forms. Some forms are still quite old (old revision number), but other forms were updated. The one I had to change was the sponsor document checklist. They updated that one in 2012. I originally had the old one, but then updated to the newest one.

Just do as instructed and send everything back ASAP so that you are not delayed.

Hi everyone my wife just got approved 9th may ;D ;D ;D ;D. My file was moved to Los Angeles instead of Buffalo. Does anyone know why my file was sent to Los Angeles instead of buffalo ? I see some peoples file was first sent to buffalo before been transferred to the satellite
offices like Seattle, Detriot or LA. In my case the email just said my VO is LA. Also does anyone know the time line for LA. Thanks Everyone this forum has been a life saver.

I totally understand your frustration, but I don't think CIC would do such a thing. And besides, if they wanted to deter people sponsoring, they could do a number of things to make it more difficult.

Whatever they do won't stop those of us who are committed to returning to Canada with our loved ones...so it really makes no difference. They can set stage 1 sponsorship approval to 365 days, that will never stop me...they can't deny us...all they can do is make us wait longer, but they're only fooling themselves because we will fight on until we win...and we will win...we're only trying to immigrate, after all...

Keep your chin up...things will get better!!!

hi there! we do have the same concern..we completed the application feb.2, 2012,it was sent to cic feb.3 and they rcvd it feb.8..most of the forms were filled up in hand written form except the Generic Application since it requires a barcode/validationcode..im just a bit worried now, since the newer version took effect on feb.6 (if i am not mistaken).i hope this change wont affect our application since we filed it around that date..its been 3months, no updates since feb.8.
