January people are still waiting for communication so I think we have a bit of a wait still. :(

I hope it would be earlier than that. Some are already approved for sponsorship from January 2012 applicants. The processing time hopefully will be less than 55 days for all of us.

hello friends I am working on filling the sponsorship application form to sponsor my wife. my concern is me and my wife did court marriage in USA back in oct 2011 ( we have marriage certificate for that) And on january 2012 we both travelled to our home country and finished our wedding program according to our tradition. when filling this sponsor application form it does ask when was the wedding ceremony took place. now should i put the oct 2011 date or should i put the jan 2012 date. I am really confused. can someone please give me some advice. I would really appreciate it.

Put the 2011 date because it's on your marriage certificate. The wedding program would be like a reception and there's a section asking you about that. Include photos.

Thank you so much canadagirl I really appreciate it. I have one more question to you I hope you can help. since me and my wife are still in our home country I havent yet submitted my spousal sponsorship application as I was waiting to return canada first. now someone on this forum suggested me that i would be able to submit my application eventhough I am not present in canada and I would love to do that. my concern is I dont have the medical report for my wife. does my wife have to wait to return back to USA to see the DMP in her area or she is able to submit the medical report from the local DMP here in our home country? can you please give me some idea. Thanks a lot

I believe if you're a citizen you can be outside of Canada. If you're a permanent resident you need to be in Canada.
