I did not receive an e-mail. They sent a letter.

When I checked my E-CAS, I initially found (application received) and then after four days it was changed to (decision made). The decision was sent in a letter.

Note that I mailed out the app on Feb 8 and received on Feb 10 (as shown on mail tracking) but they indicated that my app was received on Feb 13 (Feb 10 was Friday and Feb 13 was Monday).

I think they are finishing now mid-Feb and some late Feb...

i am a February 8 applicant,, just today my husband got a mail from cic-m stating that he is approved as a sponsor, the letter was dated may 18..
God is Good!

Seems that they date the packages after 3 days of the shipment and then after 90 days they start working on it and finalize it in the same week.

I stongly believe that TODAY they are finalizing the packages which were sent on February 21, 2012 and before that date.

No I think it is just because of the weekend. I think they date the packages once they open them (on the same day of receipt showed on mail tracking or the following day..if there is no weekend or holiday).

My app was received Feb 21 according to both canada post and CIC.

I sent in my application to sponsor my husband on February 15th and according to Canada Post they received it on Feb. 16. However I'm noticing many people can check their application status on CIC.. How do I go about doing that? I haven't received any email or letter with a UCI number.. is anyone else on the same boat?

You can try your receipt number but I doubt it will work. If you don't get an AOR then you just have to wait or call. Sorry!
